OH YEAH!!!!!!!!!!
:thrasher:
It's that time of year again... It is the perfect excuse moment for EB fanatics players to dress up, and go out party with drunk college girls friends.
So lets upload some EB themed costumes:
This year I was the same as last year:
https://img234.imageshack.us/img234/8598/lusloricatiicaetratiisd8.th.gif (https://img234.imageshack.us/i/lusloricatiicaetratiisd8.gif/)
however.... I updraded my costume to make it look more like the picture above. However I was missing 2 small things:
1.The center bronze plate.
-It was 10:30pm already and I could not spend another 2hrs cutting the circle, sowing it, painting it bronze and waiting for it to be dry enough to out.
2.Paint the shield boss and rim of the shield bronze.
-same as above.
Here it is:
https://img222.imageshack.us/img222/3653/img1027i.th.jpg (https://img222.imageshack.us/i/img1027i.jpg/)
and here is the equipment:

fun times
lol! you most have been the most badass guy on the party. :) so, did anyone recognize your costume?

Awesome costume man! I would have been so excited to see someone in an EB costume. I was really really tempted to be a Casse-style Gaeroa, like this with all of the woad paint:
https://www.europabarbarorum.com/i/units/casse/casse_gaeroas.gif
But I didn't feel like explaining what I was to everybody, who would undoubtedly be like "um... what are you....?"
Plus, that woad is awesome, but it's real detailed, that would take quite a while...
So instead I was William Wallace (albeit as the historically inaccurate Braveheart depicted him because that way people actually knew who I was) and still got to wear woad paint. My girlfriend's blue eyeliner worked out quite well in that regard though, if anyone was wondering.

Tch. A spartan with a falcata and (futhark?) runes written on your shield?!?! As if >.>

Well, people don't really care about the ancient warfare and if they see a costume and if it's not a roman legionary, than it's a spartan in their eyes.

I wanted to go out as a Gaesatae-Warrior, but for some strange reason my girlfriend was against it.

I'll give a balloon to anyone who goes to a party as a proper one of these:

(Although, *ahem*, dressing as one afterwards in the company of a bucksome wench doesnt count  )

If it was a dream world all of EB fans could have their own Halloween party. Then not recognising a costume would be a real shame. I imagine that it would be one awesome party :2thumbsup:

u have to options:
a. be the R-rated gaesatae in a private party with u and your girl.
b. be the PG-rated gaesatae for the puplic party. (that requires not just the cloth as cover but some tight fitting underwear because the wind will make your costume R-rated)

That would be pretty hardcore man! If I ever did it, I'd probably do it for the big first-rain streaking event at school haha!

Dressing up like a gaesatae uncensored will get you an arrest probably.

Doing a censored version would be awesome, especially if a fight breaks out between the Gaesate and a 300 movie-spartan. There is always one of those guys around. :boxing:
The other cool one would be to make a REAL spartan... like this guy:

I'd probably be some kind of Roman/Hellenic/Eastern warrior, but my appearance goes with a large Sweboz:smash:

I am Danish, we are not too keen on Halloween...
But were I to I would use my Viking kit, easiest.

1,98 meters, Dutch, fair hair, blue eyes. There is no hypaspist costume for me~D Why is there no Batavian Warband in EB??:clown:
On a more serious note, maybe Milnaht, the Belgae Swordsman?

But hair wise this one would be perfect, however I have no beard.:laugh4:

Oh yeah some Batavian units in EBII would be nice for us dutchmen, plus we would then need the sreaming woman back in, that was their way of demoralizing the enemy.

Well, from Caivs Ivlivs and onwards Batavian units were a stable of most Roman armies. I like Batavians as you can see in Turbator Germania.
Test to see if I have finally figured how to post pics...

Edited to add, apparently it did not work. Guess I have to use imageshack. Picasa or even my album here does not work...

Hmmm nice costume you made there NeoSpartan!
An EB halloween party would be nice (alhtough I and most people in my area don't celebrate Hallowen) - I couldn't dress up as anything. I would require 6 months of body building just not to look (too) funny... :skull:

The ladies would enjoy seeing your little jewels dangling to and fro' as the campus police chase you around.
I spent Halloween in EB style costume, but not for trick or treating . . .

Halloween hasn't been widespread in my country, mostly because it interferes with the piety of All souls and All saints, but it is slowly becoming popular to throw a party, but people are mostly dressed as some movie character or girls like ehm, to say it without bad language modern version of hetaira.
The EB party with costumes would be nice. As I am very skinny and definitely don't look like a soldier, I would probably be some archer or eastern dessert unit.
And NeoSpartan: great job with that one.

.....
Most people dress like known horror movies (vampires) or funny characters (super mario), with the occasional fake-Ceasar/Roman costume. Girls always put on something slutty
My only regret is that I spent all Friday afternoon and night working on my costume and it was STILL not finished. So I missed a day of partying :wall:

I pulled off a Gallic costume 2 years ago, it was easy... my only problem was that I could not grow enough facial hair.

Right now I am seriously considering making a black T-Shit cut out like a Linothorax (now that I did a fake one with thick black fabric and cardboard). But I am not sure what materials to use.... :book:...I want it to be washable.

The outfit made me look a lot fatter because of how damn thick that leather and wool was.
But it was still awesome.
People need to stop buying costumes and make their own.

Yeah, I can totally imagine that. In bed with the girl and reach into your special cupboard next to the bed, right next to the lube and condoms you have a shield and sword...
Maybe not.

Halloween is so empty for kids now. They either buy some store-bought piece of flubber and parade around as if they're proud of being able to hand money to a cashier. I would prefer a terrible handmade costume than the best store-bought one. Unless they're so half-assed it isn't even funny. Not sure if wearing sports equipment counts, but I hate it when they just put on a mask and expect candies.

:daisy: u made the helmet too??!!!No I bought it, and I made a plastic version of the sword so I wouldn't get arrested(but the one in the picture is real, and I took that one to a party)
