Hey I was wondering how farmland can be put outside the city walls on the fighting map. Like when I saw the roman city preview, I started to think, well you know that the city almost always extended past it's walls. So like could there be more houses, farms, and maybe markets ect.

Outside of walls on a city map? Impossible, it would require custom cities, which are, as of now, not possible to insert within the game. I suppose that, through use of custom tiles, it is possible/difficult to add more farmland/villages to some tiles outside of cities, but city maps can NOT be modified as of now.

The historical setllements of DotS are for custom battles, they can't be integrated in the campaign map.
AFAIK they main problem is that the layout and pathfinding in a city cannot be changed as of yet, CA never released tools to edit files so people have had to build their own, for city maps this has been very difficult. So far it is possible to replace buildings in a city but not the layout.

The mod "Basileia ton Romaion" (RIP!) had some historical models planned. Are you sure you cant implement them in the campaign...?
