It is no longer daily; so a new thread should be in order....

and here we are.

7th November:

Hi guys,

I have received a lot of questions asking about the status of our Multiplayer Campaign Beta for Empire: Total War. I can confirm that the latest code went out to our Beta Group last night and we are making good progress in testing. Additionally, I can confirm that our Battle AI blog will be posted next week.

Have a great weekend,

Mark O'Connell
(aka SenseiTW)

Do you think that the Battle AI blog is going to blame us and Sega? :-p

12 November:

Dear All,

For those of you wondering where the Multiplayer Campaign BETA for Empire is, it's still in test.
As it's a BETA product there are also legal and technical issues around distribution to you all which we need to solve prior to release.

It shouldn't be too much longer now, we are still working on it alongside Napoleon, so please do stay with us.

On another note we've just returned from Russia and are due to head to the US next week to show Napoleon to a number of leading websites and journals there, which should yield plenty of new info for fans based in these countries.

Kind regards,
Kieran

So in 2020 they will release it. Or am I too cynical? :clown:

They say NTW will have a full Multiplayer Campaign, I think...did I miss read it?

Anyway, that means they have to have gotten some of the bugs out before Feb.

Time is creeping up on them.

Heaven forfend you release a shoddy and unfinished product.

Ever since RTW The Creative Assembly have been holding their patches to a standard of Q&A clearly not applied to their full game releases.

Well pity you announced it as a beta then - you could have gotten around all those issues if you had just said it was a finished product - just like you did with ETW.

Just when you think they have forgotten about updates they spring a couple of them on us.

2 December:

Firstly, hello from the Napoleon world tour in Australia, where we've just seen some of the Aussy press guys, lovely chaps.
For clarity the Empire Multiplayer Campaign signups begin on 7 December.

You'll be able to sign up at that point to participate in the free open beta trial.

Kind regards,
Kieran

3 December:

Our thanks to everyone for their positive response to the Elite Units of America pack.

For those of you hoping to see an Elite Units of the East pack too, we'd encourage you to watch this space.

Kind regards,
Kieran

I am actually curious @ the Elite Units of the East Pack. But the DLC for ETW has really been somewhat disappointing but I guess not every game can give you downloadable boobies (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/96527-The-Saboteur-Offers-Free-DLC-of-Boobs-on-Day-One).

See, that would be the one pack I would not be that interested in (I guess I see the Ottomans and Marathas mostly as targets).

Not that I still won't get it, of course.

From Steam:

The Empire: Total War™ - Elite Units of America Downloadable Content is now available on Steam. Those who've pre-purchased these elite units can simply launch Steam to automatically download the new content for use in Empire: Total War.

The Elite Units of America DLC adds 15 new elite units to the American, British and French factions of Empire: Total War. Pick up this DLC to unlock all 15 new Elite Units of America while playing the single player campaign. The Elite Units of America are also available in multiplayer and single player battle modes, when playing with the appropriate faction.

We also have new background in stead of the Warpath background. It is now blue, promoting American DLC.

You want downloadable comedy boobies on the men in your army?

Yes it looks like they put the blue background we used to have back in game I don't think its promoting anything as it looks the same as the orrignal one.

I think they were supposed to put it back in after Warpath came out . . . I guess they just now got around to it.
