Hi, new to these forums and EB, I recently started a campaign and managed to conquer and destroy rome, but curious to what type of goverment people used in Italy (the boot, i don't have sicily... yet)

Just use the highest you can get, except one number 4 and a couple 3s for Celtic ones.
Rorarii and Hastati are pretty nice, but you don't need a high gov for them.

Anyway, I usually give Rhegion a Type IV because the most of the city-states there allied with Pyrrhus, and sometimes Capua, which wasn't an overly reliable ally of Rome. Other than that same as olaf: highest in all but Celtic cities.

Sweet cheers, i will change the gov types as currently i have all the citys bar capua and apri as type 4's

@Topic: I often place lvl 4 gov first, because like that you can secure this area better (better regionals) and after a while, when the client king dies a more or less natural death (hum...) I install a closer gov.
