Graphic Cards for MTW

Hi,

I am inquisitive if there is anybody here playing MTW on ATI Radeon X1100?

We have already an example of X1150 not working here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=117244). I also looked at this (case (http://209.85.135.132/search?q=cache:xJstiWF8SQMJ:shoguntotalwar.yuku.com/forum/next/topic/47176+ATI+Radeon+X1100+MTW+CTD&cd=1&hl=bg&ct=clnk&gl=bg)). X1100 was released in 2006, I think.

The prameters:

Computer: 1.86 GHz, 896 MB of RAM; 148 GB of Memory

Graphics: ATI Radeon Xpress 1100, 256 MB

OS: Windows XP

I am also inquisitive which are the other TW games that this card can run, though I should admit MTW was a love from the first sight (and a very painful one)?

Any advices?

I was going to say that it should work but after seeing that thread, I'm not so sure now. I have got it working perfectly on an integrated X1200. If you think it's worth your while, you can try it (at your own risk and expense), but you will need to apply the "button fix" correctly. I think that a few individuals that have applied it in the past have simply copied the two files to the wrong directory. It is critical that you copy the files to the right place or it won't make any difference. The button fix has the potential to solve most campaign map CTDs so it's very important to get it right.

If you already own the game and the laptop then you should try it, as you have nothing to lose. If this involves buying either of these (especially the laptop) then think carefully.
