Battle Timer: How do I disable it?

Hello all. I've read several refrences to playing the battles with the timer off. How does one do this? I've seen no option in the menus to turn it off. I would like to be able to fight very long battles with reinforcements playing a role, but with the timer ther battles are over too quickly to do so. Any help?

Do you have the 1.12 patch installed?It's been awhile since I turned mine off,so I forgot how I did it.It has to be in the menu somewhere though.Maybe before the patch you couldn't turn the timer off.I honestly can't remember.Boy that was a lot of help. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif
Scipio,go to the menu,click on options,then game,at the bottom of the screen should be a box to turn on/off the timer.If it isn't there then you need the 1.12 patch.

You can turn off the timer in the options from the main menu. Before you enter the multiplayer part of the game or single player. Anyways thats how i do it http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif GL
