Is it just me, or is NW Africa a little 'dry' when it comes to regionals? Sure, there are the Numidians, but I think a Libyan regional or two, or a merc, wouldn't hurt. I can see why there are no Punic units - they were more traders than warriors, but the Libyans were used extensively by Carthage and were used for colonistaion, right?, so they would be plentiful in numbers and AOR, and I'm guessing other powers could/would use them too. Btw, did Rome employ Libyan mercenaries or troops?

Never mind North Africa, Egypt is sadly lacking in regionals with the only non-greek units being the Machimoi. I suppose that represents the fact that Egyptians were not regarded as good warriors by other cultures.

Also I don't mean Upper Egypt which does have some Ethiopian units. I'm talking Lower Egypt.

From what did I feel when playing as Kart-Hadast... The Libyans are have less variations and surely outclassed by the Liby-Phoenicians. But if things must be counted evenly, any libyan soldiers is actually as good as their Hellenic counterparts and realibe enough, unlike most regionals that often rout as quickly as they touch Frightening naked men... The Hanatim Libim, even if defeated (by Gaesatae) in the end, manage to hold Aedui's Massed naked battle line (WTH ai made a line full of naked men... Uirodusios and Gaesatae! :skull:)....

yeah, when I play carthago it really hurts, that you can have the coolest regionals in the game in huge numbers in spain and gaul, but in north africa...:book::book::book:
I mean they had contacts with cartago, late rome for hundreds of years and the only armour wearing units they have are the GLMDTK(Or whatever^^)?
