Thank you for taking the time to purview this question.

I am going to be starting a Barca Campaign - whereupon I will be giving up all of Carthage's North Africa holdings and basing myself in New Carthage. It is a kind of Migrant Campaign. Obviously I am giving up access to some great units from the Tunis area, but C'est la vie! My question is as follows:

1 - How to have those North African cities revolt and stay revolted?

Drestroy all your buildings, raise taxx to maximum, disband all garrisons, and set your capital to iberia... taht should do it nicely in 3 or 4 turns... oh yeah, don forget to set camp difficulty on VH, so if the city aren't revolt yet, sometimes the eleutheroi will capture it! Good luck on your Barca campaign...

(If you did roleplay capturing back the cities, just use add_money and process_cq

Just move your capital to iberia, taxes up and get the troops out.
DO NOT DESTROY the recruitment facilities. Or the rebels will only get weak troops.:book:
Another usable method is to give the settlements to a faction next to extinction.

How do u move ur capital?

Go to the city scroll of your capital-to-be, open the "city details" scroll and click on the "move capital" button in the lower left corner.

Yeah, the best way to do it is to completely relocated all your troops, or disband them if you don't want to use the ones in Carthage. Then, destroy all the buildings there except for the recruitment ones, so you don't wind up facing a bunch of militia later on. Lastly, tax the the hell out of them and move your capital.

You'll have your campaign raring to go in just a few turns.

What exactly is the Barca campaign and why would he lose all his north african cities?

Barca was the family name of a rather illustious Carthagian family - whose most famous son inspires people 2,000 +yrs later - Hannibal.
