View Full Version : I really hate to ask this, but how can I add units to a different faction?

I want to add the Briton Kluddargos to the Romans, Senatus Populusque Romanus, I read another thread, and I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do in the descr_model_battle.

There's a thread by macilrille where he asks about exactly this question, but I can't find it right now. It must be in this subforum though. Responding to your PM, the Romani are labeled seleucid, where as romans_julii corresponds to the Arche Seleukeia.

I advise you to keep the discussion to the thread, thus more people can respond to you. :egypt:

Thank you much, that was confusing the hell out of me.

Question, I put "Seleucid" into the ownership line, and every time I start up the game, it gets deleted, what am I doing wrong? Do I need to do the rest of the steps you described in the other thread? I'm opening the game to check if they're part of the Roman unit selection in the custom battle. They never are, but I haven't done those other steps and the other Roman units aren't, so, yeah.

I assume you're talking of exp_descr_units.txt. There are two: the first in "sp game edu backup" and the second in "mp game edu backup". You have to alter these accordingly. So if you wish a multiplayer session (custom battle also), you must alter the latter one.
