Which campaigns hold certain missions, I.e when i played the pontic campaign it gave me the mission to capture a bosprian city by paying some rebel mercenaries. Iv been playing the roman campaign with alex and iv had no such missions im just wondering which factions have these sub missions?

Well, when you play as the Arverni you get a choice whether or not to accept a mission given by the Epeirotes to capture two settlements, Ak-Ink and Vindobona IIRC. If you accept they'll become your allies and an army of theirs will be spawned outside those cities to aid you.

The Aedui have the same mission with Epeiros.
P.S. What's with the Pontos mission? I remember it, but didn't quite understand what must i do,... Did anyone make it work? I send and army to the Cheronesos, but nothing happened:dizzy2:

Well, I am never in a position to send an army when that mission comes up. but I think it mentions something about meeting your reinforcements in the forest to the northeast of the city. If you just land an army by boat and attack the city you will miss out on the back-up army.
Again, I can't verify this because I am normally being swamped by AS and don't really give a damn about some stupid eleutheroi or opening up another front with a steppe faction.

Romani have such mission with Rhegion, killing the traitors.
I completed the Pontos Mission, I had the mercenary general become the conqueror of Chersonessos, he got a nice trait and became the governor. (he got a trait where he was the liberator of the Bosphorus).
The reinforcements were one general called Rhaskos (at my game) and two groups of haploi IIRC.

Can you elaborate please what you did? I sent an army (not the same turn) and looked around the forests but nothing joined me:embarassed:

You must sent a good general (have at least some sizeable command management and influence, so Rhaskos and an old 10 influence diplomat will spring up...

What other specifications are there? How long can you wait to send your general after you got the message?

Once read about a Makedonian campaing mission of going to Alexandrea to retake Megas body to Pellas. I do not remember of any Epirote mission! But I believe there is one.

As far as I know, just sent your general there immediately with halfstack or more troops (myself after 3 turns) and then, a diplomat and a rebel named character will sprung out... oh yeah, just prepare some pocket money for him, because he'll need to buy some lolipops and balloons for entering your service.

Both Aedui and Avernii got that mission, accepting that mission will give you some time to breath (at least) because that time, the AI (either Aedui or Avernii) will always accept the missions if you don't accept it... at least you got one more ally...

The Megas Alexandros mission has unfortunately been disabled. It didn't work properly for some reason. I hope we will see it again in EB2.

After conquering the further northeast provinces from Saka in my Seleukid campaign I had a Yuezhi invasion in Chighu. Three big stacks there. Its more an event than faction mission but just for the record ... :sweatdrop:

I had heard there was also a scripted counter invasion of India, such that if you starting Indian cities as Baktria you will face invading stacks from the Maurya Empire. But I have taken Takshashila and no stacks have come my way... Is this event a myth or do I just need to take the cities further south to trigger the response?

Guess it's just a myth, never saw it either.

I've read the entire EBBS and what can I say... I didn't found any trace of the scripted event of indian counter invasion...

Well that makes sense because it never happened to me, I just thought I had heard someone on the forums talking about how attacking India was so difficult because these stacks appeared and attacked you, but clearly I'm misremembering.

And something I forgot to add, when you have the Yuezhi invasion event the stacks(4) move down southwest and surround Chighu, you get a panic mode among the population and the city rebels to eleutheroi, then you have to kill the stacks or you get rebellion again there. After this you have to rebuild the governor house to get things back to normal. Plus when the event happens cause I believe of game mechanics purposes all your cities goes to auto management automatically and you have to turn back to manual all of them again. Crazy and exciting event. Think we may consider this a faction mission thinking twice on that.

I usually just let them have it D: why should I bother with some barren wastelands when I control the riches of Fergana and the wonderful route to Seres?

Nah, these stacks are original eleutheroi army at the start, who usually go hidin in the woods and wait you to attack the southmost city in India..... and Indian general's bodyguard are extreme 60 men elephant units that goes multiplied and regenerated like hell...

Since you read the entire EBBS, do you know if there is any camapaing for Epiros? Perhaps one with the Gauls????

Well the Pontos Mission sucks!:laugh4: I almost lost the game since the Seleucids attacked me the second my army landed on the peninsula. and all for a general with 2 units of levy hoplites. Lol.
Also did i do correct thing by bribing the guy? or is there another way for him to join you?

Never saw any invasion in India during my Baktria campaign. Think theres no such thing, and yes there were some eleutheroi stacks around but no invasion.
About the seleucid event/mission the Yuezhi invasion of Chighu, I killed the invading stacks but they have 3 immortal spies in town now, I assassinate one of them and they respawn next turn, anyone know how to get rid of them?
Regards.

Playing my first ever Aedui campaign, I foolishly accepted the mission, sending my main army away (instead of having it conquer the last remaining Gallic towns). Well, the thing is, that Epeirote bugger, though he appeared, didn't bother to help at all. And now the Swêboz are preparing to zerg my empire...

Swezbo are pretty easy to deal with if you have enough guys with javelins. Just don't send expensive armored guys at them.

The problem is, I don't really have any guys, because every hand is needed for fighting off the Romans and their mercenary hordes, as well as campaigning in Pannonia...

Yeah, but you're the lucky one you only got sweboz... think about some guy who accept those mission and atttacked by the Epeirotes instead... (yes, the bad AI even can't keep their words )

in other words, spam Bataroas and Milnaht. Against low armor high lethality is all you need :beam:
