Hello, I searched on the forum for an answer to this question but couldn't find it, so I'll ask here. I've tried modifying the export_descr_character_traits to get my generals more command stars because konny's mod can't be downloaded and I'm tired of winning lots of battles with a general and still having no stars. I'm running EB on BI and what I did was find some command traits and increase the number of stars they awarded and found some of the traits like Lover of Beauty that decrease stars and simply turned them from a negative number to a positive. When I try to start a campaign I always get a CTD, anyone know what I am doing wrong?

And now I copy/pasted the text from my backup traits folder into the one I tried to change and I'm still getting a CTD... what's going on?

Okay a little more info. When I try to load a saved game or start a new one, the game CTDs with no error message, but when i load to the main menu and then quit, an error message comes up saying that there has been an error in line 37664 cloumn 21 of the export_descr_character_traits.txt and the error is "Trait not recognized". Hope this helps!

Always make a backup file of what you edit. Copy/paste/rewrite that backup file, not just the "text". What text editor are you using? If you copy/paste that file, if should be working again, if not, then you must have messed up another file or something.

Ah nevermind, I think I screwed another file up as well. I'm just gonna uninstall and reinstall with alex.exe, it seems to have more mods and support around here.
