MAN MARRIES VIDEO GAME (http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/man-marries-a-videogame/1376577)
Yes, it has finally happened. And you know who I blame? I blame the Socialist Democrat Liberal agenda. They're here to destroy all that's right and decent with the world! Danged hippies.
Not satisfied with the gay marriage, now the liberals are dead set on making sure that people can marry inanimate objects. Well I won't stand for it I tells ya. They'll rue this day! Everyone knows that marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman, or his wives, or someone he got drunk with in Vegas. But now that the gays are getting married, well, now people will be marrying everything, including the kitchen sink. Now that you mention it, the sink is pretty awesome-looking. :eyebrows:
Besides, everyone knows that the only proper marriage involving an inanimate object is between a man and one of those futuristic robots. This creep didn't even wait for the robots to be manufactured, he had to jump on the digital dating bandwagon prematurely. Well quite honestly, this pushes all my buttons.
Let's hope, for her sake, that this man knows just how to push hers.

He cares about a girls personality, not her body.

On one level I'm very tempted to post "loljapan" and call it a day, but this is not just something in Japan.
...
Well okay, this case is exclusive to Japan, but it's still part of an overall trend of gamers who expect emotional, or otherwise, storylines to keep the appeal. It goes hand in hand with the video games as art debate, and it's nice to see someone crazy enough to push the boundaries of it. As a gamer who is also a human, it's nice to see that the game is either so well made, or the man so incredibly desperate, that he formed a true emotional bond with the character, and his love could be on par with the most intimate of soul mates. It's quite touching :2thumbsup:
Realistically though, this could be the first of a trend which will eventually lead to the cessation of the human populous as a whole, just like Futurama predicted.
I applaud this Sal9000, one small step for man, one giant leap backwards for mankind. :skull:

Yes, exactly. When we're too busy spending time with our Lucy Liu robots, our girlfriends will have to buy the Johnny Depp robots, and our respective reproductive organs shrivel up and fall off. COMPLETELY OFF! O-F-F!!! And then the only procreating that will happen is when the machines become self-replicating and turn the earth into gray goo.
Mmm.... free goo.

No, this will never happen.

I think it's very sweet. It highlights the multi-dimensional nature of the human mind and the amazing higher thought of which we are capable. Now excuse me, while I make love to this tomato.

In half the world we are already reproducing at less then the replacement rate. We are getting aging populations and less kids being born.
Need less TV and more blackouts. = :baby:

:smash:
Now, why does he look familiar...:sweatdrop:
I'm sure his just joking. His planning to post his "wedding" on Nikoniko video. If someone is going to post something like that on Nikoniko then his doing it for fun.
When a man does something stupid like this, they are simply after glory and medal of doing something that no one has ever done before.

I must confess to a complete infatuation with a game character.

I'm sure to keep it realistic there will be DLC for that.

I'd add Alyx Vance and Samus Aran to that list. The fact that they are barely, if at all, sexualised is what makes them so appealing.
