Field of Glory tabletop wargaming rules series cover all periods from the Ancients to Medieval, Renaissance and Napoleonics. The latter is close to release. They are the best looking books around.

Field of Glory is a wargaming rules system that uses model figures and terrain to recreate the great battles of the Ancient, Medieval world and Napoleonics , written by some of the biggest names in the wargaming community, including the co-author of the popular DBM rules, Richard Bodley Scott. Field of Glory is the first set of wargames rules that has been designed for and made available to a wide audience and will be available from traditional Hobby outlets to mass market booksellers. The game is set to revolutionize historical wargaming.

The first digital version of the Field of Glory series just released, starting first with Ancients, but the other periods will follow, including army-, scenario- and campaign- editors and builders. Now Field of Glory Digital is just available on PC, but Mac and even possible Linux will follow later.

Some cool video`s:

We have prepared a couple of tutorial videos to show how easy it is to get playing multiplayer and create scenarios in Field of Glory. They also give an idea of how the game looks and feels when playing which is hard to understand from screenshot or descriptions.

A lot of the detail has been lost after uploading to Youtube but it still gives an idea of the
experience.

Jim Zabek over at the Wargamer has reviewed Field of Glory and clearly loves it!

He says "Field of Glory may offer the sleekest Play By Email (PBEM) interface I’ve seen yet" and "I’m having so much fun playing multiplayer games that I have to stop myself from starting too many" and also "I cannot wait to see what expansions come next!"
