Coming back.
I hope there are some people left from the Old Guard. :beam:
Anyway it was a while since I've been here. Let's see how much has changed. ;)

Holy Mo... thought you were lost forever. I´ve enjoyed your mod the last couple of months during the few gaming-moments I´ve been able to squeeze in. Not from the old guard though. Welcome back!
regards
Welcome back! :balloon2:

That's excellent news. PMTW was my favourite mod by far.

I came also to finish the project - it is not like I am going to leave it the way it is, especially with people downloading it every day (I have the statistics). :beam:
So there will be new campaigns ( Spanish Armada, ECW, TYW) on a new map, more than 1000 units etc just like promised.
welcome back cegorach,
good luck with finishing p&m - too bad that the game doesn't run on many newer machines.

Welcome again, cegorach!
Let me be more critical, please!
If the Pik & Musket mod included fixes for the sprites and dead bodies,
That is unlikely - only 256 units can have them and P&M crosses that line.
and if the campaign factions were balanced so that it was less certain that Europe would be divided between Spain, Russia and the Ottomans, it would be my most beloved mod of all, without exaggeration.
I look forward to the improvements!
That is unlikely too. Franly spaking I never worked on balance. It was like throwing some units here, some there with roughly similar numbers to the real ones and that was it.
I was suprised that it still works pretty well.
New provinces will help though, could mean a dramatic change the the game, we will see.

Ah, welcome back! Its been quite a while, Cegorach. Pike and musket is an excellent mod already, even in an unfinished state. I look forward to what you have in store for us. :2thumbsup:

Indeed, more than a while...
There will be some new ideas - news can be found in the subforum - first link in my sign.

Hi Cegorach
I am looking to try out your mod, but the The Lordz website 'cannot be found' and I'm having difficulty connecting to Rapidshare.
Is there an alternative location I can get your files from?
Cheers
Victor

Hi Cegorach
I have now been able to download some of your files from Rapidshare, but I have to say it requires persistence. For example:
"You want to download the following file:
http://rapidshare.com/files/11809793/PMTW_music_theme_1.exe | 34743 KB
This file can only be downloaded by becoming a Premium member
There are no more download slots available for free users right now. If you don't want to become a premium member, you might want to try again later."
They really aren't making it easy to get hold of your mod.
I am now able to browse The Lordz website, but the links to your files do not work for me.
Best regards
Victor
I spent nearly a year away as well...Welcome back!
I am enjoying exploring the nuances of MTW Vanilla again but having done a small amount of research Pike and Musket will definitely get a run soon....Thanks!

Welcome back, Ceg, good to see you again and glad to know you're okay!
I've been away quite a while too and have been hoping for the new P&M.
(Just don't remind people I also have unfinished mod projects on the go :laugh4: )

The best solution would be to establish fully working P&M TW webside which might happen eventually - there is a poll in the PMTW forum which suggests that option (a webside with its own PMTW Wikipedia).
Now the Rapidshare is the best option, because this way I have full information about downloads and since I enjoy having all my modding projects and shared files in one place I am rather interested in keeping it this way.
To enjoy PMTW you need to download just two files - three other files (music, historical battle movies) are a bonus - the inconvenience with downloading is just a minor obstacle. No pain no gain I suppose.
Of course it is all just excuses and in the end I will have to do something with all that, but I still need to figure out how to combine my blog (personal/historical/political), this possible PMTW webside and PMTW Wiki/guides as well as half a dozen other things...
But right now it will stay the way it does.

Which reminds me to try your mod - which I sadly haven't really done earlier...:embarassed:

Recently I found one, little goldmine concerning early wars in Italy (translated and combined from Italian, Spanish and French by one promising Polish historian). I wonder what the results will be - hopefully possible to announce soon in the mod's thread.
