Mods, please move this thread to "Vacancy for RTW" section....

Oh yeah, to confirm what Gaius Septimus Severus' said... we need only unit modellers this time (still compile the whole unit lists for Indonesian & European factions, left only Indochina and Half Sulu unit lists)... the campaign map is allready under my construction, and we didn't want to modify city buildings for now (will use vanilla eastern and barbarian city models, but maybe reskinned a bit). To get regions on the map, we need historian that know about Indochina and Philiphines region...

That's all...

Cute Wolf

EDIT:
Oh almost forgot... pm me or GSS if you are interested...

Actually we've allready got map making in the process, but Wlesmana suggest us to made things small first, and focusing on some factions first before progressed to another... so we gonna made some focus first, just take a look...

https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/picture.php?albumid=147&pictureid=2030

As you can see the map is about... you can guess that we've try to made the first provincial campaign for this mod (well' we've planned for Full campaign at first, but then, it was a big ammount of works, and can continued later, when we've finished some factions and made full working provincial campaign...

Yeah, Portugese Invasion of Malaka at 1511 is on the way...... with less scripting because they are allready present as Horde in Malaka :2thumbsup:

The lists of the faction we'll focus is:
- Malaka
- Aceh
- Sriwijaya (most of the royal descendants of Sriwijaya allready become islam this time, and will be presented as the proto sultanate of Jambi)
- Pajajaran (still a Hindu kingdom... actually the last hindu kindoms in Java... still has considerable power though)
- Kasultanan Jawi
- Majapahit (the royal dynasty of Rajasa allready beaten back to Bali in this period, but will be used to represent more Hindu cities that still resists muslim assimilation)
and guess:
- Portugal (well, actually we've planned to made this faction last, but at this map, the timeline must be set as they are allready landing)

Map and Regions is DONE! We only need to find out how to turn off the snows in winter :wall: or replace it with heavy rain maybe..... This is tropics... HOW TO TURN OFF THAT SNOW???

Faction lists is done.... symbol is done.... unit lists is under "re construction" with sonic because we've just spot some "uncertain units that who knows if they exist..." and we now just need more modellers (because we've planned to just reskin vanilla buildings at this moment)

That's our lastest report on Cutewolf's desk...

At the Historical research front, we did almost finish our history in this covered area (Kalimantan are just dummy island and has unplayable region).

If we're really made this campaign at Cutewolf's suggested timeline (1511 - 1571), with 12 turns per year (we actually have 11 summer 1 winter because that stupid wolf insist copypasta on the climate colours of gallic region, maybe we should use levant / african desert regions' climate to get rid of the snow! that's my suggestion), we'll have 720 turns to complete this campaign., with exact 60 winter turns that made any historical map makers cry because Indonesia have a snowfall and turns white, and that cutewolf insist that we could alter the snow terrain into some kind of rain and mud, to emulate heavy yearly rain season (yeah, december-january are a month full of rain in Indonesia)

And about the units, we'll cut off most "reformed" modern units and stick to mostly traditional units... I almost completed their lists... just wait...

So one question for all of you to answer... if "combat bonus in snow" are altered into "combat bonus in muddy swamps"... did you agree?

Back to my old roman avatar.... I grew bored reading those Arabic scripts in Sulalat Us Salatin which gives a lot of political background in Aceh and Malaka affairs, but only some numbers of military units verivied....

Well, as far as now, I can manage myself to read Malay-Arabic scripts and give a proper extraction and interpretation for our mod... but at least I must bring in some reinforcements...... for helping me reading those Arabic sripts :wall:

As far as historical researches are concerned... we have this sections as our shared responsibility:
1) Cute Wolf : Hindu - Buddhist theme, as well as some European ones, reading javanese / Indonesian scripts... and verifying another guy's jobs on historical scripts.... (but he has to work entire UI
2) Me : Islamic sultanate theme, Aceh, Malaka, Bugis, Ternate, as well as mixed Arabic - Malayan scripts.... (gess why? Cute Wolf is Christian and Christians didn't learn arabic in school...... poor me, GSS was only Junior high, and didn't have enough knowledge about arabic scripts... leaving only me to dechiper them.... Oh... If I know I'll get a lot of work with translating arabic scripts like this, I won't cheat too often in my Arabic language class in Islamic religion study.... at least I didn't fear the teacher smack my head when I wrote the translation with cheating sheet on my feet again...... (SIGH!)
3) GSS : Researching Europeans and traits and some in class history... (junior highschool's history subjects give almost all important peoples who should be present this time.....)

Anyone interested to help me?!?!?!

Yeah... just translate those Arab-Melayu texts and done your job quickly :whip: Don't whining too much in the forum... :furious3: I get your whining everyday when you are at my class  Yeah... I know, your burden to research historical aspects of the sultanate was really heavy, but at least you are the only one who can do this!!! No other men in our team can do this except you :sweatdrop: because you are the only one who has entire course of Arabic language... (blame our education minister in teaching Arabic to muslims in Islamic Religion subjects, and left Christians, Buddhists, and such with free hours when you got religion class) :laugh4:

In other words... feel free to ask me some beers in return  don't feel bad.... :clown: and you are here in Bandung... the Acehnese law code that forbids muslims from drinking beers are 3000 km away :2thumbsup:

In Highschool, Islamic religion subject's curiculum tend to have 50% arabic courses, and 50% others... That's my bad day at school too.... because everytime the ustadz speak in front of my class, I only understand most trivial of words.... not to mention, I almost always cheat when it comes to writing and reading.....

Yah... you will be exactly like me then... I never know before that in University, you must take 3 credits of Religion.... and Islamic religion, you can bet it was almost Arabic language lectures!!!:wall: After see this curiculum, I then took massive cheating sheet everytime I was in the Islamic religion's class.....

Yeah, if you didn't consider cheating in Religious subjects is a good way, I suggest you to become a Christians or Buddhists, as they just sit down, doing nothing, and got A

Not really. Christians had to memorize passages from the bible. Buddhists had to do all kinds of shit like spending Sundays at the vihara and they made us meditate and shit and indoctrinated us about the awesomeness of Theravada so we won't fall into the evil clutches of Mahayana or something. Then they quizzed us on phrases in Buddhism so we ended up learning partial Sanskrit and Pali (yes, Buddhist teachers, let's ignore Sakyamuni's teaching of NEVER teach Buddhism in a tongue other than the ones used by your students. Good job! Yes, I'm bitter).

The easiest is probably Hindu, only if you live in Bali, because you're doing all those everyday anyway. The only way you'd get a crap grade as a Hindu is if you're a fake Hindu and never do any of the ceremonies.

Not really. Christians had to memorize passages from the bible.

Not only that, Christians are taught with some degree of Greeks, Hebrews, and Latins at Highschool and several courses at the univ... (but at least greeks and latins made me somewhat familiar with EB :laugh4:)

But I agree with sonic's point of view that here (in ITB), any religious courses (compulsory, 3 credits) except Islam, are often result in just sitting down and got A... without doing much things ourselves, just listen what the lecturer said, doing your homework, and made a wiritings at the end of semester (Christians got no final tests, at least I can confirm that), and you got A.

But at least, I know that Islamic subjects (put aside Arabic) are quite simple... except you got some hard-line assistants that demands you to abide strict rules and attitudes (which I know you are trying hard to undermine them)..... yeah.... Sonic... at least you can use your "talents" as our researcher at Acehnese - Malaka history that written in Melayu-Arabic.....

Can you help us in importing Europeans from M2TW and skinning European units? :2thumbsup: it was a simple enough process.

could, but
A.I have not got M2TW
B.I'll have to use paint(which will make it look 2-d)
So, you will have to email them to me.

No Gimp or Photoshop?
Paint coudn't handle .TGA files... even the .TGA.DDS that the models use as their skin needs plugin to be used in Photoshop...

BTW, thanks for offering help... maybe we can look for english spelling checker for the unit descriptions.

Yeah, we definitely needs more modellers, as Cutewolf is one artsy guy, but he still Fail with 3Ds Max.... :laugh3: Definitely fail because he only can erase something, but can't made anything without causing extreme mess in game.....

Better focus on my unit concept extracting job.... still has a lot to do...

Cute Wolf
