Hi there-
unfortunately I am facing a serious problem. I am playing Romani (ca. 133 BC), waiting for Augustinian reforms. Since yesterday the game crashes constantely. I have had no problems until now- the game worked fine.

I do not want to stop playing now since I´ve played for a very long time. (saved lot of money (40 million)) and just wanted to wait for the reforms to occur in order to conquer the rest of the Eastern map.

who can help me and fix my save.game file- how can I send a file and to whom?

BTW: 40 millions? Ok, where is the border RTW can save the value of the stored money? Anybody knows?

OP, do you mean to say 40.000?

nah, playing with Romans until this timeframe, and having porbably spain, italy, africae, illyria and agaeis will assure to have a income per tur >400.000. And up to this date most buildings are built so it is a good surplus per round....:smash:

well the crash happens during my (Romani) turn. what I have done so far was to start up again with an earlier saved game but after some development and turns the same problem appeared again. I do not know what it could be. As said, I have reached year 133 BC now and until now everything (more or less) was fine.

But thanks for the info. I will try to "fix" it on my own. I will post the outcome.

I do not know whether there is a "cash-limit"?!? hopefully not- I do not think there should be one, would not be fair...:juggle2:

My total amount of money I´ve saved is: 41.439.506,-. (I more like the business part of the game. I fight to extend my empire or if I cannot avoid it, or I buy people and cities. Tu felix Austria nube!)

(Though sometimes they ask for really fancy amounts)- Comparison: if the price for a palace is about (appr. 15.000) how can a rebel army ask for more than 1 million??) I think the bribing amount concerns a certain percent set of your total money.

During your own turn? Only a few crashes can do that....

Conquering a town? Fighting a battle? Clicking on a FM? Opening a secific city? Building or recruiting sth?
Is the CTD repeatabel, can you say exactly the steps you do when it comes o a crash?

you have the fixes?

Tried your save with RTW and ALEX, RTW crashes instantly, ALEX loads the game but it crashes then 30 seconds in the game. I was not able to find a combination why it crashes, with my build it is just....at random.

I was not able to find the thread in which the maximum amount of money was described, but maybe that could be the problem, it was something like 40 mio, so I would just try if it works if you use "add_money -40000" a hundred times.

Please describe the situation when the CTD occurs, be as specific as you can do it, otherwise I'm afraid nobody can help you out....

I've played the game after giving myself a billion mnai, problem is, if you get to the 3-4 billion range the buffer overflows or something and the game takes all your money away. 500 million is more than enough to buy everything and win the game.
