I currently have a pretty high tier PC with a single GTS 250. Lately I've been harpng on the possiblity of the 250 going around or under $100 (It is currently at $134)
For the added $130 I could have a GPU setup with power similar to a GTX 285. What do you think?

I think if you currently don't have problems, you should wait a bit to get an even bigger boost. If you're thinking your card is too slow or you have to turn details down too much, maybe look at the new ATI cards, but those might become a lot cheaper if you wait a bit, too.

If you look at my specs vs the vast majority of home PC's Im ahead of the game by a mile. Of course on a game site that mile will be reduced considerably.
Of course I could have a always have a faster PC

New Question.
If I currently have the GTS 250 512mb with 2xDVI, will there be any problem if I buy the GTS 250 512mb with 1xHDMI and 1xD-SUB?
I realize that I can't run a monitor from one and a monitor from the other simultaneously, but I could always switch cards if, for whater reason, I decided I needed HDMI or D-SUB.
Any info appreciated

i have a 9800 GX2, which is effectively two GTS 250 cards, albeit slightly lower clocked.
my judgement is the performance would be between a 260GTX and a 275GTX rather than match a 285GTX.
SLI is never as efficient, or as reliable as a single GPU, but they are so cheap that its not a bad way to add more power provided your motherboard supports SLI.
nvidia GPU drivers are pretty hardware agnostic, as long as its a GTS 250 card you should be fine.
