Okay, so...here it is.
There is this girl that I know somewhat well on the military base here, and my buddy has known her for a long time. I'm confident that she'll say yes, because she usually acts in that kinda funny way around me (hard to explain, but you understand right?). However, I'm not sure if she's too young.
See, I'm 14, turning 15 in April. She turned 13 in like September. I held myself back before, because I didn't want to be the 14 year old dating a 12 year old, but if I wait much longer we'll be 2 years apart, and it just won't happen.
So, she's one of the cheerleaders for my Basketball team. Which means I'll see her on Saturday. So, do you guys think she's a little young for me? I'm honestly completely unsure, but I'm thinking this might be one of the last chances I get.
Is she too young?
A 2½ year gap means nothing when you're an adult, but at your age I think it might be a bit much. Of course, this is coming from a lemur who lost his innocence to a girl who was 3+ years his senior, so maybe I should just shut the heck up.

Well... Ive known some 17 year olds who dated 13 and 14 year old girls. Was a bit creepy but no harm was done.(I think)

As to your question - 1.5 years does not seem like a huge age difference. I do not see where the problem would be.

Yeah... my ex girlfriend was two years older than me... (but we sit at the same class, apparetly because I start schooling at earlier age, and she was no grade in one year...)
but we meet at university...
A few things:
Are you afraid of what your friends will think --- if so do not date her.
Relationships at your age don't tend to last too long.
Make your decision on your gut instinct. Don't dwell on it either --- lasses come and go. (No pun).

the thing with Lemur and Cute Wolf is that the girls were older, which is more acceptable, at least with the guy i think.
another concern is her parents; they probably wont let her go out with a 14 year old.
What happened to the other girl who pushed together her chest and went "I think I got a bit of water on me here" which you was head-over-heels with?

Ah that is how they are, women are the sweetest way to die, I love them even when it hurts. You are on the right track so just keep going, there is nothing better for a man than a good woman, it will keep you healthy and sane, we really need them for that.

Hell, right now, I'm kinda aiming for a 14-year old (I'm 17 myself). Keep in mind that the relation, in this case, would be about her. Don't do unnecessary things, you can totally screw up someone's youth with such a thing.

nope. she wouldn't go on a forum like this, though i presume that you were being sarcastic/funny in the last part.
haven't talked to/seen her since. i was previously planning on calling one of the other girls on the team and asking her for one of the other girls' numbers (its simpler than it sounds), but i don't know the person i would call too well, and i would probably word it wrong some way or another.
anyway: i guess ill go for it if its not something like taboo. thanks guys!

I find younger people too immature for my liking, and the older single females I come across are either act/wish they were 16 year old, or they are very controling and manulipative which rubs me the wrong way.

How old are you? You shouldn't bother with that and just enjoy things how they come. Not going to tell a 14 year old guy he can't be in love with a 12 year old girl. Or a 17 year old with a girl of the age of 14. It is a positive thing you can't start soon enough to be courting the ladies it is a healthy desire. Maybe you are smarter than your peers that can happen, maybe they just can't provide what you need at the time, have a little patience women are wonderful creatures, nuts, not to be understood, but wonderful.

oh, i've always been the guy hanging around and asking out girls. since like.....2nd grade!
i mean, there was no one to play with for 2 years here except a girl down the street, who was a tomboy and i always hung out with (she was sooo hot....i cant imagine 7 years later.....god she must be super hot now...), so i didnt get to hang out with guys much until i was like 9.
this was actually pretty funny looking back at it:
in like 3rd grade (so...i was....7-8) this one kid ran around saying "your dream is to have sex with a fat pig". of course, no one knew wtf "sex" was, so i asked some other kid who said it was having a sleepover naked. which, thinking about it, isn't as far off as i thought.
so anyway, then after a while of him saying that, i yelled in class "No! my dream is to have sex with morgan (insert last name here)!". well, i ended up getting in trouble for it, and the principal came down, but i got let off for the simple reason that i didnt know what the hell i was talking about. then the original kid got in trouble.
not funny then, hilarious now.

its just that i trust you guys (orgahs, not the internet) more than anyone i can ask for advice from. i wouldn't ask my parents, and my friends...i dont even know how they get girlfriends. they are totally not what i would expect girls to be interested in.

I would advise you procure a time machiner. This will allow you to go back forward in time, enlist your future self, go back in time, kidnap you at 14, and then use him get into a relationship with the girl. Following this, you go forward from his time, until she is about your age, kill your younger self, and continue from then on. When I was 13, I was in 8th grade, which was technically middle school, and 9th grade was the beginning of high school. A lot of parents of girls were very uncomfortable with the idea of their middle school kid dating a high school kid. Just something to keep in mind.

thats something that usually screws me over; most people my age are in either 8th grade or just getting into 9th grade, and most parents will automatically say "HELL NO!" when thier daughters say the're dating someone a grade or 2 above them.
but if she says yes and doesn't tell her parents I'm in 1th grade, I can tell them myself and explain the whole situation (you do not know how hard it was to resist putting "I can tell them myself and give them a sitrep") which i think they would be fine with.

Hey man, I'm 36 with two kids and a beautiful wife and I know from experience that the longer you wait the less crap you have to deal with later on (If your wife is the jealous type). Unless you're like my father and the first girl you date you are with forever. Otherwise, save yourself the trouble and wait.

oh...we met like months ago. at a (american) football game on base (if you're wondering why I was at a football game, my buddy dragged me along).....no..wait.......i think we met a little before that when 2 of my friends wanted to go see a movie, they said they were bringing women. than afterwards (after seeing a movie i'd already seen and still hadn't seen a girl) we went to some playground, they called some friends, and some girls came over, than we all went to 2 of the girls house (sisters) and i met her there.it was like 11:00, so I couldn't tell you what she was wearing. but I'm fairly sure she was wearing green at the game....or at least thats her cheerleader uniform...at my basketball games....
I'm guessing that since you want to date her, than she shares your love of ellipses, right?
