Hi,

Could the forum admins do some work on the frontpage?
When you go to forums.totalwar.org, it's always displaying "is the org down?"

Could you take that off, because the org is not down.
And I'd like to see both sites active (twcenter and forums.totalwar.org). The site admins over there have made a rather good-looking intro page. Could you at least take off the "is the org down", and put some type of image on your frontpage?

Hey Pianist

Not a admin, but I would like to answer if I may.
The place you are looking at is not the front page, but a place where it shows all the blog entries done by users.

The one on the top just happened to be Cultured Drizzt fans entry "is the org down?"

I believe the correct front page is http://www.totalwar.org/

Hope that helps :2thumbsup:

Is it tough? If it is, it could possibly be made easier.

Hm? As far as I remember, this site has a registration form as simple as any - I certainly don't remember anything I thought out of place. Neither do I remember any overly nasty Captcha, which is most pleasing.

The usergroups could probably be documented somewhere, if only in the form of stating their existence.

that's the front page, but how about the Wiki????????????
it's so plain (not like the one TWC has)
https://forums.totalwar.org/wiki/index.php/Main_Page
there's nothing there, the editors should make it a bit crowdy there.
there's only a few hundred of articles, make it more full, like TWC.

I'm not really sure how the front page of the wiki should be laid out, or who should be responsible for it. To my knowledge, the wiki does not have official editors, anyone with a forum account can edit (forum rules apply to the wiki though), so it's pretty much up to the members to do the work. Uploading images requires a special account IIRC. When Tosa activated the wiki, I just started messing around and putting stuff up. The ETW guys might have an unofficial editor, and I guess I'm the MTW/VI unofficial editor, but the work is not organized from an overall site standpoint.

I've got a front page for the MTW1 part, but I haven't really kept track of the other TW game entries. It would be nice to get links to the separate wikis for various versions/mods on the main wiki page. Plus maybe some forum helpful info/history.

If anyone on the RTW/M2TW/ETW/mods wiki "teams" need it, I can make templates for units/buildings infoboxes and navbars, but I don't play the newer ones and can't contribute to specific articles. I can also give useless organizational advice for the wiki. :beam:
