I was just wondering what's the fastest time the computer has attacked you after allying with him?
1 turn is my fastest http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif I allied with Takeda, then the next turn he attacked my on two of my provinces. He got his ass kicked but still amazed me how quickly the comp would backstabb me.

Happened to me with Takeda and Oda after one turn (each one in different games)

Takeda seems very good ally for me. The Oda clan is not thustworthy along with the Mori clan.

I always use Shimazu and I don't trust the Mori at all http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/mad.gif
Hoever, I think that the Uesugi are trust worthy. They've never broke the alliance rule untill my clan and their where the last 2 http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

THe Mori are the worst by a long way, and 1 turn must have happened to pretty much everyone. alliances are worth making, but not trusting

I agree -- Mori is the worst. Playing Takeda, they attacked me within two turns of the beginning of the game. I was playing the "leave most of central Japan" approach, so I can't really blame them.
Anyway, after rebels loyal to my cause kept coming back and pounding on Mori, he asked me to be pals, and attacked the next turn. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/wink.gif
I really wish _I_ could send his emissaries back with no heads. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

I was playing Hojo and Uesugi offered me an alliance. A turn later he attaked me.
We were at war. While we were at war, weird enough, he offered me an alliance again. I accepted. He attacked me again!!! And he offered another(!) alliance. Of course I didn't accept and I crushed him totally in a few seasons. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/biggrin.gif

Only when I'm playing Takeda. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif
Actually, I find it quite fun to ignore cease fire treaties, myself.
Has anyone heard of the computer using that kind of thing against you later in the game? Not choosing to make a treaty because of treachery?

I think it matters which clan you choose. Different clans are more friendly to different clans. Although I've had Hojo break alliance with me, while trying to play each different clan.

If you start as takeda, your southern (yes southern, because the map is turned 180 degrees so you can see japan the long way)provinces are surrounded by mori, and everytime I've played takeda, Mori attacks on the first or second round.

For me the question is how fast i attack them after they allied with me.
Takeda in one turn. http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/frown.gif
Mori is the worst one for breaking alliances, I believe he was really like that so perhaps the AI weights their 'word' against what they actually did.
