Depends on ripeness of fruit.
You dont want your peach to hard nor your plum to soft. To make a chocie would be impossibble though, both represent the finer end of the fruit chain, the are dominated by the pink lady apples.
For a moment I was sure you were talking about schnapps.

The Peach is truly the superior of the two fruits.

This poll is meant for peach lovers & plum lovers, your incompatible monk :whip:

A better question would be "Where is the 'both are God's gift to mankind' option"
A perfectly ripe plum is superior to a perfectly ripe peach. A decently ripe peach is superior to a decently ripe plum.
Whatever I like to call it

Plums are better fresh.
Peaches are better canned, you don't have to deal with the bush

Fresh peaches are a very tasty fruit, imo. Plums ain't bad, but peaches are just superior. Don't gimme any canned versions, though. Quality takes a bit of a nosedive, compared to fresh.

Ask for nectarines, peach without bush

Flat peaches. None of the tartness, but with all the fragrance.

I'll have no gah in this establishment :smash: Gah generally means you think the thread is poor constructed, I know this thread is poorly constructed, so I don't need to hyper critical person to tell me it in 'gah' fashion :balloon2:

Indeed. Or pears. Peaches are tasty, but much too mushy. Plums are tasteless, except for the occasional red kind that has a positively delicious tart flavor in the skin, but it's impossible to find them because they are sold in the same baskets as the nasty, tasteless plums.

I'm much more familiar with peaches. I've had plums only rarely, and my main exposure to them is through the 'Little Jack Horner' nursery rhyme. When I finally did have a plum, though, it was delicious. I'd probably take a peach over a plum generally, but have nothing particular against plums, either.

It definitely should have a 'gah' option for your type.

Ayam pedis.
I love them both, but I prefer peach.
We have a one year old plum tree in our garden (almost 2 years) and we had exactly one plum of it last year (which is remarkable, as they normally don't give any fruit the first year or two) and it tasted delicious.
Can't wait for the first real harvest.
