Can't get EB to run

Hello, first post.

I've downloaded EB1.1 and 1.2, but can't get it to work.

When I open a new game on Rome Total War, and bring the adviser up, there is no message about running the script, and the 'Show Me How' button is blacked out.

I'm on Windows XP, and I've used clean installs in the following order:

Rome TW
Barbarian Invasion
Patch 1.6
EB1.1
EB1.2

I've tried installing it to C:\Rome - Total War as well as in Program Files, but whatever I try the result is the same.

What am I doing wrong?

1. EB is for RTW 1.5 (no BI)
Install the trivial script and run EB using it

2. If you want to play EB with BI (gives some more features and an advanced AI), follow the instructions mentioned here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=95664).
If you receive bugs, CTD or anything with using BI, this is the right place to ask for help.
