nah, its ok.

i second that ;)

Welcome to EB. Let it be known, I had the same problem when I first started! Then I read a few sigs and realized there are fixes, and bugs, and novelties that were not around in R:TW. Then I read the FAQ and realized how the EB system works. Since then I've been cruising! :2thumbsup:

Welcome Volodya, glad to have a White Russian here, not much communication the rest of the world gets from there. So doubly happy to have you here, welcome again to the wonderful world of historical accuracy and nerdness :-D

And shows a noob our second-worst side (no one has flamed Greeks or Romans yet, so the worst is yet to be evidenced)...

Let us rather say welcome again and happy "whatever-version-of-winter-solstice-you-celebrate" and leave our worst sides out:dizzy2:

That comment is not nearly as all-encompassing as you planned. I just finished celebrating my version of the summer solstice. Its tough having a BBQ outside for christmas...even worse when I am the one lucky (unlucky?) enough to wear the santa suit in 35degree heat (thats like...100 degrees in farenheight maybe...).

BUT, my b'day is exactly on our winter solstice (thats your summer solstice), so thanks for recognising it.

Ah yes, now I notice Cairns. Hot place, not a Viking place ;-)
Though there are re-enactors from Britain who moved to Oz.

Happy whatever, but since Xmas is derived from a winter solstice celebration... nvm anyway, our third-worst side is our wanting to get the last word and nitpicking.

And those three things... no we cannot hide :-(

and when dealing with modern women always remember to use that last word to say "you´re absolutely right dear, sorry i bring it up" if you get what i mean :inquisitive:
