How to install EB on a steam version of rome total war complete pack ( rtw + bi + alx )
using the maximus alexander EB ?

in short, making this:https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=94861

working with the complete steam version total war pack (as said above, rome and the both expansions)

Any help would be great

I don't use maksimus's eb so have no idea how it should be installed. If it is done manually, it should be all the same except two points:
1) EB should go as <your steam install dir>\steamapps\common\rome total war alexander\EB
2) to create desktop shortcut, right-click Rome: Total War Alexander in Steam->Create desktop shortcut. Then edit shortcut's target by adding
-mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander

Do you play EB with steam?

If so, your version is the gold edition?
And if so yet again, do tell me, does steam mess up with EB(lots of CTD's, scripts not working or stuff like this)?

If you install EB in the Alexander directory and select Alexander then click Properties, select Set launch options and type -mod:eb -show_err -nm -noalexander in the box it works. I haven't tried the full mod, just the ALEX.exe for EB.

I use Steam'ed RTW gold and Alexander on Windows 7 x64. And I see no extra problems besides normal RTW bugs (of course, I didn't install Steam into c:\program files to avoid those problems with UAC etc)

I don't use any submods because I'm afraid they may introduce extra CTDs and ruin my game (I have some time to waste on my own experiments but not to hunt bugs in other submods ;))
So if I really like some idea, I download a submod, see how it works and make changes myself, thoroughly checking everything.

Seems you should be right. UAC (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_Account_Control) is a feature to give you more protection against malware.
