View Full Version : Qin Dynesty (Tsin Empire) mod Re-released!
This mod will add the units from the Qin dynesty to your mod!
It is recommended you'd use the ALX-EB mod (full or light) , otherwise you'll have to remove some models from the mod.
The mod was originally released under the name "Tsin Empire mod" or "Chinamod" for RTW v1.1 and presented units of the Qin and early Han dynasties.
Since the mod no longer works on v1.5 and beyond, and the original team and host site no longer exist, I have the decided to convert the mod to v1.5 and beyond myself, so it would be compatible with every mod you wish to use.
However, the units will appear only in custom battles unless you'd add them to your mod's "export_descr_buildings.txt" file.

The screenshot is old, form the original Tsin mod (which was for vanilla RTW v1.1), don't mind it. The mod mostly add the units from that mod. I'll post some new screens soon.

Hm... so the Saka army could get Chineese units to kick AS ass? :clown: Awesome!!!
Did it must be on Alex EB, or playable in BI?

In the RTW/BI version of EB, the model's number limit have been reached, so if wish to add them, You'll have to delete some models and units. So it best to use ALX.

Is it an extra faction or regional units? and have the stats been balanced? =/

As default, it simply add these units to Phalava, only in custom battles. You may chance that at will. and yes, they have been balanced.

interesting, perhaps we can combine the faction with Saka and simulate a westward expansion of Qin? The Saka are the most likely to be made their vassal...

No, I'm talking about the avatar/portrait.
i can't get the instatllation, to work,... i get error message with "unable to find fs_2hspear" error.......
any body get that error, what did i do wrong, i followed the instruction closely as i can, still can't get to work,,
any help would be great, thank.......
why don't u pack the file into a mod switch file, so no need to modify any orginal part of the file, except just zip the file into rome total war folder and use it ?
much easier, that way.......

This looks interesting, will definitely give it a try! Someone needs to use this for an AAR...
As a side note how historically accurate are the units portrayed? Im assuming the Terracotta warriors were the main point of reference by the original modder(s)?
And what is the unit in the background of the screenshot of the first post which seems to form phalanx?

Indeed. It is my understanding that the vast majority of the infantry of the period were equipped with 'dagger-axes', similar to a pike or halberd.

We could demonstrate the Han invasion using these units. However, they'd take up some unit slots. So we'd need to limit them.
Could someone please post a list of the units with screenshots, or just a linki to another thread that does that, that would be awesome.

I thought the Han didn't go -that- far west, save for the odd occasion where they had to punish some sniveling greeks for killing their ambassador....

Actually, I think they did, when pushing out the Yuezhi.
