My Game keeps freezing and crashing

Ok, I have installed Europa Barbarorum on my RTW 1.5, clean version, following the steps of installation (tried reinstalling it already), but I have frequent crashes and freezes, tried deactivating movies, playing on window mode, deactivating music (it even worked for a while)..... But it keeps happening, crashes while ending my turn, freezes during battles (the sound keeps running but the game simply stops, I cant get back to the dektop, and the only solution is to press the 'reset' button).

Any suggestions on how to fix my problem? I'm not skilled with this kind of stuff, and would really apreciate some help. --- Francisco

First, check out your computer specs.... did it was the minimum requirement for playing RTW?

Yeah, my video board has 1 Gb(ATI x1550, I guess) , i´ve got 3Gb RAM, dual core, it plays everything, generally, but I'm having problems with EB...

1) Did you use Vista? -> Commonly known to cause problems
2) Did you have 2 anti virus running at the same time?
3) If not, then check your program who is running at startup and in background, several anti-virus (notably Kapersky & AVG), and Anti spyware/malware live guards are known to cause crash on games, mostly in their highest security measures.

I'm running it on XP, only avast is opened, and theres no spyware or such... I'm completely lost

Please check the frequent issues, maybe that helps. Do also check you video-card drivers. CTD inside battles are most not related to EB but with RTW. Did you apply the fixes??

You can try to get the installation files with torrent if nothing helps, that should give a clean installation, maybe your download was corrupted.
