View Full Version : Help pls.. Reducing barracks build time

Hello everyone,
first let me say that I totally love EB, indeed, and also thank the magicians who created this ultra-realistic representation of ancient world. :2thumbsup: Still, I might have came up with a way how to make playing this game even more enjoyable for me, and hopefully someone can help me with that. :help:
I would like to reduce significantly = halve the present build times of barracks.. especially those of level 3+. Being a noob as far as modding is concerned, I don't know which file should I edit and how.
Hopefully it is possible to do. I heard about process_cq cheat command, but I would like to put AI on equal footing.
Thanks for your time for reading my post, and hopefully for help.

Actually you better stick with process_cq command if you want to get equal footing with the AI, as they spawn their allready level 5 Barracks miraclusly in just 1 turn, thanks to teh script.

Is it really so? I think I remember someone saying that they could see barracks being build while laying siege on AI's settlement..

You can't see what did the AI build, it must be damaged barracks

understood.. and if I still wanted to rather halve the buildtime in some config file in order to avoid repetition of using process_cq command?

Go have a look in the export_descr_buildings.txt file in the EB data folder, all the buildings attributes are defined there.

Thank you.. works perfectly.. took me some time though to figure out that I needed to mod "construction" in building Barracks_Y /for regional mics/ and building Barracks_K /for royal mics/ (wonna play with macedon).
