With a pinch of inspiration from GH (and his rock paper scissors) I thought maybe Blackjack online? Though a simpler version than say blackjack in a real environment. I am saying this as a proposal as I'm not all that reputable and this may not be to everyone's taste, so I want feedback.

Basically, there would be 8 sign ups, I'm sure everyone is familiar with the game rules though there are slight changes.

Players would go against each other (head to head (1 v 1)) To try and get the nearest to the number 21 without going over it. At the start of each round I would give 2 cards to each player, which would be took from my very own deck of well shuffled cards (as the dealer & host I would remain impartial). The player then has 2 choices, they can tell me that they want to:

Stick
By sticking you are happy with your overall number and don't want to draw anymore cards.

Twist
By twisting you request another card, I will then send you another card (again completely at random)

Points are awarded as so:
21: 25 points
20: 15 points
19: 13 points
18: 11 points
17: 9 points
16: 7 points
15: 5 points
14: 3 points
13: 1 point
12 or less: 0 points
22 or more: 0 points

Additionally, the winner of the match gets an extra 10 points

More Rules:
-If it is a tie, the player that used the least cards wins, if both players use the same amount of cards and its a tie, then the 10 point bonus is shared for 5 points each.
-Jack, Queen, King are all worth 10, Ace is worth either 1 or 11, you choose.
-No fake betting is involved, points are put in place as it is an easier thing to do online.
-After the round robin (I wonder where I got that phase from :laugh4: ) The top 4/8 players go into semi finals, then the top 2/8 for the finals to determine the winner! Of course if I played with 12 people this would vary slightly.
-If both players bust (go over 21), the player nearest to 21 gets the 10 point bonus.
-If both players have a total or 12 or less, the player nearest to 21 gets the 10 point bonus.
-For the online version and for simplicities sake, There will be no double down, surrender, insurance or split pairs options.
-The maximum number of cards you can have is 5 in total.

Example:
Hitler vs Stalin

Hitler gets a 7 of diamonds and an ace of spades (7+11 = 18 or 7+1 = 8)

Stalin gets a queen and a 3 of clubs (10+3 = 13)

Hitler uses the ace as an 11 and sticks with two cards, giving him the number 18

Stalin Twists and gets a 7 of hearts (10+3+7 = 20)
Stalin sticks with three cards, giving him the number 20

When the results come at the end of the day stalin sees he has won and earns himself 15 points (as he got the number 20) plus an extra 10 points for winning (overall earns 25 points)

Hitler earns 11 points (as he got the number 18) with no extra points as he lost (overall earns 11 points)

day 1 results

stalin: 25
hitler: 11

I hope you understand what I'm rambling on about.

Anyway, this is my proposal, if you want questions answering then ask them here, and if your interested sign up. I'll see how we go from here. I know I would find this very interesting, from a host point of view and I think the not knowing what your opponents got makes for a great atmosphere. Just like rock paper scissors does. :2thumbsup: I also think this game has a good balance of luck (getting a good hand) but also a good balance of skill (knowing when to twist or stick)

The construction of the Grand Blackjack Arena In Las Vegas had finished. Tonight was the launch night of one of the most well known and played casino games ever. Blackjack.

The Arena was huge, yet managed to be filled with a storm of people. Tourists flocked by the masses with their cameras to experience the grand opening and the ultra-high technological suite that was encased in the grand building. Las Vegas regularly gamblers were also in attendance, all of which were looking for ways to get their filthy paws on more cash. Many other ordinary townspeople, Doctors, Artists, Musicians, Coaches, even Priests filled the Arena seats and many had to stand up or were just denied entry altogether.

The entry fee was high, but the states were high, this was the ultimate place to be. The Blackjack Tournament had begun!

Though several tournaments were in the place, the main one, the one everyone was talking about, was the Gameroom tournament. The Gameroom was exclusively available to those notorious gamblers, but not just that, successful gamblers. These guys had all the girls and dollars they wanted. All billionaires without question, partially from luck, skill and some underhanded tactics. None of them were to be messed with.

There are 8 contestants, all are ready to try there luck which will ultimately lead to their rise or fall in the Las Vegas world. The dealer took his seat and dealt the cards.

The First Match of the day was between Yaseikhaan and Csargo, Yaseikhaan is a rather sinister soul, he has earned his place at the top mostly from shady dealings, expert hustling and an unnerving persona. However this would be of no use against his opponent, Csargo. Csargo is arguably the least deserving of his status, his wins purely from luck so far and usually being as a high as a kite, Yaseikhaan was definitely not going to scare this eccentric soul.

Yaseikhaan eyed his cards up. A grimace captured his face, he drew quite a few cards before halting, however his final result was a respectable 17. Csargo on the other hand shows that he truly is lucky, he didn't need to draw any cards and let off a loud hiccup and he stuck with a game winning 19. Yaseikhaan couldn't believe he was bet by a drunk Joker, but was confident he would win tomorrow, Csargo was elated by his win and made a promising start to the tournament.

Csargo beats Yaseikhaan

The Second Match of the day was between Beskar and Joooray, Beskar's secret to success wasn't a secret at all, he was never one to deceive and simply used skill and common sense to get him where he was today, Joooray on the other hand was a tad unpredictable. He got here by making strange gambits and sensible sticks. He almost had a sixth sense as he often knew when to go on whether he had 10 or 20 in his hand.

Beskar was perhaps the most eager to prove himself and made his decisions early on, but a tricky hand and an unlucky twist lead to a disappointing bust, as he got a horrid result of 23. It seems no amount of skill could help him here, but just when he thought it was all over, he looked across the table. Joooray was sweating, he was taunting Beskar early on, but soon ground to a silence. He drew several cards, but things ended in cursing and anger. Out of poor awful luck, yet coincidence, he too got a terrible 23. Beskar regained his composure and was quick to point out that he used less cards than Joooray, and so Beskar snatched the win by the narrowest of margins. Either way this was easily the most disastrous match of the day.

Beskar beats Joooray

The Third Match of the day was between Athelotes and the Cultured Drizzt Fan. Athelotes was rather arrogant and always thought he was the best, fortunately for him he had the skill to back his ego up, he had a win ratio of 25:1 and was therefore a master at his game of choice. The Cultured Drizzt Fan was just pure rich, in contrast his win ratio was not impressive at all, he hadn't even played blackjack much, but was simply LOADED this guy has money, and lots of it, this guarantees power to some degree. Though his experience was low he was a very lucky man.

Athelotes drew a few cards after seeing his first ones, he took some risks, but at a total of 19 he felt sure he could snatch this victory. He was incredibly confident at this point but unlike some cocky fools, kept a calm composure, for now at least, even if he was processing mental back flips. The Cultured Drizzt Fan, un-phrased, was not wasting anytime on waying up his opponent, but was more interested on how his personal luck would go. He preyed a little before he drew a card. Luck was on his side, he yelled 'YES' before he could stop his lips. But who had the better hand? The Cultured Drizzt Fan shown his, he had 20. Athelotes was in a state of shock as the Cultured Drizzt Fan added yet more money to his already massive coffers.

Cultured Drizzt Fan beats Athelotes

The Fourth and Last Match of the day was between Gekkamir and Diamondeye. Gekkamir was an all rounder, not above shady dealings, but mentally strong and not easily deceived, he rarely gave an opponent a chance to read into him, as he was always so calm and unchanged, whether he received an excellent or awful hand. Diamondeye, the last important sign-up, was the most controversial. Though one of the quietest people there it was his occupation that caused a stir. He was a gambling priest! And whilst he never committed himself into shady dealings, he was no pushover, though his behavior was strongly disagreeable, he was simply hooked and good at what he was hooked at too.

Gekkamir saw his cards and glanced at his ridiculous opponent with jest, his cards were tricky. He could have easily lost or won with the hand, but decided to stick straight away, then afterwords changing his mind, though it was too late for him to do so. He stuck at 15. Diamondeye drew a few times. It was tense, some wished he'd lose so he could finally end his gambling spree, others routed for him to show even priests can have fun! He stopped at a wise time and picked himself a delectable 18. The priest was victorious for now, unlike many other first round losers, Gekkamir took it quite well. Perhaps the wisest person so far. The priest was solemn even in winning, it seemed even though he gambled he was ashamed of it, and wasn't happy to celebrate until the very end.

Diamondeye beats Gekkamir

No one had got the precious '21' yet, but Cultured Drizzt Fan came close, the scores already spread nicely, anything could happen tomorrow!

Cards will be sent out either later today or tomorrow at latest.

The suspense that came on the first day had dissolved now as on day 2, everyone got a glimpse of who they were playing blackjack with, how they acted and how they did. Three front runners had formed, but anything could happen, nothing was set in stone, by any means.

The second day begun and winners were content assuming their streaks would continue, whilst losers thought at least luck and probability would give them the chance they needed.

The dealer took his seat and drew the cards.

The first match today was between the skilled, yet unlucky Beskar and the consistant and shady Yaseikhaan. Beskar lost yesterday through awful cards, upon scanning his own cards today however, he looks slightly happier, but careful not to give too much away. After careful deliberation and some gain in luck since yesterday, he landed a near unstoppable 20. Beskar still felt a little unnerved though given his opponent, who was presently staring at Beskar with bloodshot eyes, he stared so hard at that his eyes enlarged. His menacing outer was undoubtedly covering an unsure interior, he didn't want to start a losing streak. But he had, he played it cool and safe, and stopped at 18. Yaseikhaan never had a bad hand on either two games, he just always seemed to have the cards turn against him and join sides with his foe.

Yaseikhaan was angry, perhaps now was the time for his underhanded side to blossom, either way Beskar was incredibly happy, after being the only player last round to win yet have a loser score higher than himself, he certainly made up for it today.

Beskar beats Yaseikhaan

The second match was between lucky lucky drunk? csargo and Mr no points, Joooray. Both were unpredictable in the past yet both mostly successful. Csargo sat at the blackjack table and looked at his cards. They weren't quite as good as yesterdays, actually no where near as good. He felt as if luck was waning a little but still managed to score 17. Joooray was trying his hardest not to bust this time, so he dealt without drawing any cards, strangely. Many players thought he was growing afraid of luck and became a chicken, however they were all proven wrong when Mr last place scored a massive 20. The room fell with a sort of melancholic silence for Csargo.

Csargo was still happy enough, though later clasped in his drunken stupor, Joooray was also satisfied, though not in a sinister way, perhaps his sixth sense was still intact, whilst Csargo's consciousness wasn't. Joooray still had a lot of work to do to get in the top of the pack, as we was still likely to fall close to the bottom even with this result.

Joooray beats Csargo

The third match was highly anticipated, the crowd started a mexican wave, with the occasional 'BOO!' as Diamondeye came to the table, successful, but not as successful as the current leader, Cultured Drizzt Fan. Diamondeye got his bible out and started preaching, not a great time many thought, but in the end he got round to playing blackjack. He gave his choices some good thought, then rose his cards up in the air, a sudden wind bent them left, God had made his choice. He eventually stuck at 18. Cultured Drizzt fan, meanwhile was busy betting on his own game and his entire fountain of gold was being counted whilst he made his choice. He was careless and drew a card without giving his own a second look. He laughed when he saw what came up, but soon frowned when he realized he bet $64 billion on this specific game....he managed, somehow, to score 27.

The crowd had a new found respect for the priest and the Cultured Drizzt Fan was no longer a leader, and many had already forgot about him. Though rumors still went around that perhaps the priest cursed him? Diamondeye then proceeded to say 'God loves gambling and therefore grants me the wins I deserve, he decides if I win or lose' Some of the crowd were charmed by his speech, others were contemplating finding there nearest heavy arms dealer. The Cultured Drizzt Fan was sure he would make up for his defeat though, he had too if he was to maintain respect.

Diamondeye beats Cultured Drizzt Fan

The last match that day in the Gameroom tournament was between the skilled Athelotes and the safe sticking Gekkamir Athelotes just knew he could win this game, he was playing around and had no intention of losing, Gekkamir had meanwhile painted a cold exterior. He acted inexperienced and minor in the torunament, yet hid an experienced soul. Athelotes drew a card then called it a day, with a score of 19. Same score as previous, however, he assumed it would be enough this time given his opponent was thee Cultured drizzt fan, even though he was less respectable this round after an unbelievable 27. Gekkamir also drew one card and stuck. Both players revealed there hands to all, Athelotes was ready to celebrate, but Gekkamir stumped him with a brilliant, yet commonly occurring 20.

Athelotes was a picture to behold, he was incredibly angry that his win rates were being demolished, he had consistently good hands and felt there was nothing he could do to up his game. Gekkamir was glad that he redeemed himself somewhat but like the noble soul he was, applauded Athelotes for his effort, though Athelotes was far more occupied on preparing tomorrow, not listening to his opponent gloat, even if they appeared friendly.

Gekkamir beats Athelotes

A lot of first round winner have merged with the middle whilst the priest is the one to beat. Now was the time to start winning and creating a lead for ones self, whilst they had the chance to do so. The scores remain fairly close however, and top runners have fell to the bottom, where bottom runners have made a come back.

Day 3

As the third day commenced, so did a horde of people from...well from no where!

The notorious Ichi fan club had arrived in there hordes to sober up a legend who was presently a sorry state of man.

With there hero revived and other contestants waiting for the ruckus to end, the blackjack was to start again. Would the priest keep his lead? Would Yaseikhaan emerge from his bottom rung place and would the cultured drizzt fan redeem his lead this round?

The dealer took his seat and drew the cards.

The first match was between a rejuvenated Csargo and Wiseman Gekkamir. Csargo's true personality shone now and his unbleached teeth glistening in the mirrors that padded the gameroom walls, the alcohol disguised many of his inner and outer beauties had had held him now. :laugh4: But as usual, he was still lucky, landing a sure 18. Meanwhile, Gekkamir was surprised how Csargo has changed, after going against a gambling priest and someone named 'beskar' he was beginning to think the line up on a drunken joker was a highlight of the tournament itself, but he was mistaken.

Gekkamir glanced at a now serious Csargo and risked placing another card, to his horror it had a large value, landing him a failure, 24. Gekkamir was beginning to lose what little momentum he had built, whilst Csargo was maintaining a spot in the top half of the pack. Cheers could be heard from a lot of the court, though much of the more mature audience weren't so pleased by the result. In celebration Csargo stuck cards into people in the crowd, by into it may be inappropriate to go into details, though no one minded his antics at all....except maybe the police?

Csargo beats Gekkamir

The second match was between Sinister Yaseikhaan and the talented Diamondeye. Yaseikhaan decided to use his harsh nature to curse and basically disobey the bible in all ways possible without disobeying the law. Instead of the match ending in tears, Diamondeye was more set on peace, he publicly announced. 'Oh dear, this blasphemer has took a mighty fall, I must help him back onto the Wagon of holiness' The response was mixed. But most cheered his speech. Diamondeye was keen to mutter curses at Yaseikhaan under his breath which gave question to how holy he really was.

Yaseikhaan drew many cards as usual, and stopped at an average 17. He never seemed capable of dishing out the biggies but was preying on this one. Diamondeye on the other hand had forgot all about his cards, and was reminded by the dealer to partake in this game. He boldly claimed that the lord chooses his cards, and thou shalt stick! Without even looking at his cards he amazingly had 17 too, shame for Yaseikhaan that diamondeye managed it in 2 less cards, despair reach Yaseikhaan's lips, after just being kicked from the rock/paper/scissors tournament, he was slowly feeling this one fall away too, but was determined that he would at least get to the semi's. By this point he was actually threatening the dealer to give him a good set of cards, but stopped before the dealer was deciding whether to call the guards or not.

This win could only boost Diamondeye's holy ego, but how long would it last?

Diamondeye beats Yaseikhaan

The Third match was between the Cultured drizzt fan and Beskar. The cultured drizzt fan couldn't have had much more of a clashing start, landing a whopping 1st place 25 points on day 1, only to score absolutely nothing the day that followed. Today he began to take more attention on what he was doing, his money was at stake after all, his great stinking pile of it that equated to such an amount he gave up counting. Beskar on the other hand, was in prime condition, with not a loss to his name so far and was growing into the dark horse of the tournament.

This was to be an epic result, The cultured drizzt fan carefully assessed his cards, he wasn't happy and signaled to twist, he then cringed and took a leap of faith by picking another card. He then looked horribly solemn, but refused to give any indication of the cards he had. Similarly Beskar drew a card after a dismal look on his face, and he too looked disheartened, this game was truly looking to be a failure for both parties....

...until of course, when the cultured drizzt fan lunged out of his seat and started laughing and running about wildly, 'I've got 21 he shouted, 21! look' he proceeded to show beskar his cards, so excitedly that he managed to lodge them into his face. When surgeons nearby managed to remove them, Beskar soon got his own back when he shown his cards. He too had 21 was keen to keep the surgeons busy as he lodged his cards down the cultured drizzt fan's neck, but had a priest not been present would have gone for a more shaded area.

After the arguments, it was Beskar, who had less cards, that won, though both winner and loser got impressive scores fit for a winner anyway.

Beskar beats Cultured drizzt fan

Finally, the fourth match, which brought silence to the audience, who were in disarray after the violence of match 3. Joooray pitted against Athelotes. Joooray was simliarly as inconsistent as the cultured drizzt fan, but slightly less annoying, whereas Athelotes was gradually losing his confident demeanor as no matter how hard he tried, he seemed never to get luck, even if his cards were fairly good.

Athelotes drew cards as if he was balancing on a tightrope, each card made him wince with horror, yet not dismay, his final result after many tortuous cards was 17. Alternatively there was Joooray who seemed rather happy, but soon claimed the dismay that athelotes didn't. He drew only one card and bust at an intensely close 22. Athelotes finally got the win he deserved, whilst Joooray found his consistancy problems took an all new level, as the first player to bust twice out of three games.

Athelotes beats Joooray

The scoreboard was revealed and the audience were shocked, despite winning, Beskars perfect 21 had much more of an effect and he had overtook, the game had really become competitive now, with a large divide in places, and an incredibly small divide in others. Some of the more outrageous players were sure to make sure they were in the top band, if they were to fail, they would be the laughing stock of the whole game.

The fourth day marked the midway point of the tournament, already! The crowd had their favourites and were all divided, many were already betting who the victor would be. All other blackjack games dimmed in comparison to this one, everyone knew it and everyone was hooked, not one that had watched on day 1 hadn't came on the days that came after it, no one dared miss the game, the suspense, the players and what was at stake for each and every one of them.

Beskar, who hadn't a lose to his name was leading the game is style whilst closely followed by the 'devout' priest who had his eyes set on the top stop he held only yesterday. Other favourites such as Gekkamir and Yaseikhaan still held, even with there lack of success. Today would be a test and a revelation of shocking discoveries, which start right from the first match!

The dealer took his seat and drew the cards.

The first match was between, old enemies, Athelotes and Beskar. Though they kept their contempt for each other well contained, Beskar had always though Athelotes a bad man, perhaps jealously of success or maybe valid hate, either way it was Beskar that lead at the moment and he was planning on keeping his lead. Athelotes always felt victimized by Beskar yet his harsh antics and deception used in previous tournaments, unknown to others, were a true showing of his real personality.

Beskar got his cards first, he looked at them casually, then glanced over to Athelotes who was trying to read into his foe. Beskar put his cards on the table face-down and signaled for another card without even moving his lips, each one were trying to play it cool but were bricking it a little if they were to be truthful. Beskar drew a few cards before stopping and then nodded in approval to the dealer. He had stopped. Athelotes turn came and he too looked calm, he drew one card before halting himself.

Both players cards were revealed, Athelotes knew his opponent was dangerous and wasn't completely sure his hand would win, but by the thinnest of margins he did. Both stuck at 18, showing just how similarly the arch-rivals thought, Athelotes use of one less card was what worked in his favour however. Beskar suffered his first loss, though many considered it a draw. Athelotes was meanwhile beginning to develop a small but crucial streak that may buy him a place to the semi-finals. Beskar was angry knowing the only person he'd lost to was his cunning foe, but kept his emotions tangled up inside, for now at least.

Athelotes beats Beskar

Straight after the first shocking match, Csargo and Cultured drizzt fan did battle. Both competitors were eccentric, but Csargo less so after his new found soberness, more of his stunning features could be seen as his beer belly was already fading away. The Cultured Drizzt Fan was looking toward the dice Gods for a win this time whereas Csargo was looking to himself.

Infact, Csargo was in hysterics after receiving his hand. Though not unduly, not only had he received the perfect 21 he'd achieved it without drawing any cards. Csargo got even luckier than he already was and added an undoubtedly game quaking 35 points to his already respectable score. It was only then that people remember to see what the cultured drizzt fan had received. Before Csargo had shared his celebration, it seemed the cultured drizzt fan couldn't stop drawing cards. Though when he did stop he received 19. He made a great effort, but kept getting pimped to the post by players that were getting 21! Which angered him somewhat as his money fountain was starting to dwindle.

Csargo was so happy of his victory, he was always lucky but perhaps more so after sobering up, the cultured drizzt fan could only weep in anguish as his total amount of points started to diminish.

Csargo beats Cultured Drizzt Fan

The next two made quite the entrance, Diamondeye was carried into the blackjack room whilst sitting on a golden chair, being carried by 6 assistants, the crowd were mostly saying things like 'what the....your not the pope' Diamondeye's clearly thought differently though. Joooray on the other hand had really made an impression, he dressed as the devil for the match! Diamondeye was appauled by the conduct but expected no better since Yaseikhaan, all his foes would be harsh. As Joooray sat down with his trident in hand, Diamoneye was lowered down by the table, this was a war that just got personal.

Diamondeye more or less demanded cards, he was put in a foul mood and wasn't wanting to be at the table with a devil for long. He got a very Diamondeye typical score of 18. Joooray Drew slowly to compensate for Diamondeye's hastiness but as usual, his luck fell short as he drew one card to receive a nasty harsh score of 22 Diamondeye bellowed a laughter as he rabbled on about his love for God. Joooray was feeling awful though, he just wasn't cut out for this game it seemed but a few good rounds could still secure hm a place in the semis, he just couldn't envision it presently because of his continuous busting.

Diamondeye beats Joooray

The day ended with the late attending modestly moreish Gekkamir and the sinister slow to strike Yaseikhaan. Neither were that lucky yet both liked for their individual style and interesting characteristics. Who would dig themselves out of the spots no one wanted close to the bottom? They soon found out.

Gekkamir was quick to draw cards, and quick to stick too, had he one of the best hands of everyone today? Perhaps other than Csargo? Whilst the crowd were guessing what he had Yaseikhaan started deciding his moves, everyone gasped as they both finished and stuck, both had 3 cards and both looked confident. Maybe that is because they both had 20. Yet another tie, only this was a genuine tie, both had same amount of cards and same number. It was sort of a consellation that both had avoided a complete loss, something they both had plenty of, yet it meant their scores were still similar and with only 5 point bonus each, may not give them the edge they need to climb to the top.

Yaseikhaan & Gekkamir draw

The audience was happy as two respectable players both exited at least fairly happy and the day had concluded, the controversy, the rivalry, oh what a day it had been! :drama2:

Day 5, the crowd were screaming for their favourite gamblers as if they were famous pop stars amongst a crowd of over-emotional teenage girls. Everyone was on time and it seemed it was the dealer who was the latest there.

The dealer took his seat and drew the cards.

The first Match was almost the most anticipated, 2 highly skilled players, Diamondeye and Beskar[/B. Diamondeye had got himself into 1st place only a few days ago but stumbled to 2nd place and stayed there to have the leader change from Beskar, to Csargo. Now he sees it a good time to recover his top spot as in God's will of course. Beskar, the current 3rd place player is looking to retain is previous short lived 1st place, the top 3 players have nothing between them and he can easily get back to the top with this match, in fact his first loss was yesterday and it was still very close. This match would be incredibly intense with only 1 point between the two players, one was certain to distant themselves from the other, to some extent.

The Priest, Diamondeye eyed his cards, his usual scores were around 17 and was expecting more of the same, it seemed however that God shone a light on him, a marvelous [B]20 had erupted through his body, excitement. Adrenaline. A good good hand....Beskar was only to aware Diamondeye usually scored 17, but it seems it was himself that suffered that difficult score today, 17 was what he had and despite wanting a pretty girl to kiss his cheek, 17 is what he stuck at.

An electric shock past through the crowd, many cringed, many cheered, everyone was shocked as Beskar took his second consecutive loss and had to regain his momentum on the day after to stay in the semi-finals whereas Diamondeye quoted Genesis "Diamondeye is amazing" Diamondeye's biblical teachings may have been a tad distorted, but it didn't matter, his popularity grew as his wins did.

Diamondeye beats Beskar

A while after the second match commenced, the two bottom ranked players battled it out, Yaseikhaan and Joooray. Despite a disappointing start Yaseikhaan still had power over the crowd, no one doubted that he couldn't make it to the semis if he tried, whilst Joooray was trying to make an impression each and everyday but failed to through awful cards, that damned dealer...

Yaseikhaan, after a draw was sure he could win against an opponent he didn't fear much, he stuck with what he was given, a sturdy and quite reliable 18. Meanwhile Joooray was just preying for a win, he was sure he had been cursed through his feverish bad luck, after watching Yaseikhaan stick straight away he decided to follow in suit. It was to be another draw for Yaseikhaan, which was unexpected and also a tad disappointing for him, as Joooray had 18 also.

Joooray was just relived he had finally broke his losing streak but would have to make immaculate wins to make the semis on the last 2 days of the first round. Yaseikhaan hadn't any decisive victories....yet, but it had to change, he began to look smug for some strange reason, either way the result was hardly going to shift either party into the upper ranks instantaneously.

Joooray and Yaseikhaan draw

Abruptly, the third match rushed ahead, the eager Csargo, on his glorious 1st place throne was signing autographs just seconds before arriving at the table. His opponent being Athelotes, who started rough but was slowly creeping his way up the scoreboard without gaining to much attention. Csargo was distracted by the noisy crowd and was starting to wish the gameroom area was sound proofed, Athelotes rather liked it even though only about 10% of the cheering was for him, it could all change if he did well here though.

Csargo's luck was cut short here evidently as he drew a few cards, after 1 draw he went red and started to panic, but drew again, he completely misjudged it, at a score so bad only CDF had topped it, 26 was what he finished with after a devastating King was given to him. The crowd tried to boost his spirits but Csargo wasn't all that sad, he was a happy person and he was out of the running yet, was he? Athelotes soon made it clear that he was, after 1 card was drawn he got 22 with a queen being given to him, it seemed that big picture cards annihilated both of them, but Athelotes picked up the few points available for the round. It didn't help him much theoretically but beating the currently leader did boost his confidence.

Athelotes beats Csargo

Lastly, but not least, The Cultured Drizzt Fan and Gekkamir did battle, both player did averagely, often losing, sometimes winning, the cultured drizzt fan lost a lto of money but no all his reputation, where Gekkamir seemed to have an immovable reputation regardless of his cards, he never angered or praised and almost seemed distracted. The cultured drizzt fan was happy to face Gekkamir though in the hope he would regain his millions, he bet so much on the match that failing meant living on the streets after the tournament had finished. Unless he won perhaps.

He instantly regretted it, in his haste yet anticipation he accepted cards hastily and received a nasty 25. He was serious lacking in wins now and money too, it all looked so promising on day 1 and kept falling from there onward. Gekkamir, unaware of what just happened, carried on as usual. He ended in another horrid score, 22 it seemed this day was cursed for most, the last 4 players all bust and at such a critical stage, it couldn't have been more disastrous given that only 4 could get through. Still, Gekkamir won and applauded, as usual, his competitor, who was weeping as he left the arena.

Gekkamir beats Cultured Drizzt Fan

The priest had gained a lead and regained his top spot, where Csargo and Beskar had both failed to impress this round, CDF was still in with a chance even after numerous bad rounds and Joooray has finally got a few more points and Yaseikhaan gained many places, so what would happen on the penultimate day to the semi-finals? No body could tell except time, of course.

Day 6, and the competition continues. Some of the audience stayed overnight to guarantee they got the best seats for the next day, everyone was getting fanatical about the competition at the most important result to date, everyone wanted to do well.

The dealer took his seat and drew the cards.

Match one was between Csargo and Diamondeye, both competitors have held the top spot at some point and Diamondeyes still did, Csargo has had a few slips recently but a good hand of cards was all he needed to topple the pious Diamondeye from his holy top spot. Csargo was eager to begin, however Diamondeye seemed ill and didn't think God would be on his side today.

This was an omen he foreseen only to well, when he looked at his cards he was transfixed on them, as if he'd seem them before and knew his fate, he drew a card nonetheless and suffered a terrible result. 24. The gameroom fell with a deadly silence. The leader was now in danger as the leader of the tournament was changing practically every day now. Would Csargo retake the lead for now? Well he drew many cards and got 2 pairs of 2 card types, needless to say though, he won against Diamondeye with ease and a victorious 20.

The crowd hesitated, then screamed, Csargo was carried overhead, as if he'd already won, yet quickly stopped when realizing Diamondeye was sobbing in their presence. This emotional match would surely show that priests weren't cut out for gambling, yet, a good day tomorrow could easily put him back into the safest position in the game. 1st.

Csargo beats Diamondeye

Which lead onto Gekkamir and Beskar's match, Beskar was capable of knocking the newly crowned Csargo already but knew a win was needed to do so. Gekkamir was fighting to get into the semi-finals though and was definitely not going to make this easy for his foe. Gekkamir sat at the table, prepared as ever. Beskar was also sitting, with a trickling bead of sweat bracing his forehead.

Gekkamir started with a pitiful hand, but his overall number soon accelerated towards the direction of 21, after numerous draws he stopped at a worthy 20. Meanwhile Beskar had already stuck across the table, he wasn't confident enough to draw again yet not confident enough to think he had won. At 18, his difficulty could be seen, Gekkamir won and empowered his drowsy score, as Beskar was now inches away from falling short of the semi's. He was still doing well overall, but would his mini losing streak extend? A good day tomorrow would be vital, however, If Gekkamir wins tomorrow, it seems he may enter the semis too. The suspense is palpable.

Instantly after that match, started Athelotes and Yaseikhaan's match, Yaseikhaan had few wins to his name, yet thanks to success yesterday, dug himself out of the 7th-8th place borderline and was literally in reach of the semi-final line up. Who was in his way? Athelotes, that's who. Athelotes had consistency good hands yet not consistent wins, his ability was surely going to be tested here, every point made the difference needed to get recognized but more importantly to proceed into the next round.

Athelotes was in a similar dilemma to one before him, Beskar. Yet it didn't worry him, at 18, he felt he could pimp Yaseikhaan to the post and snatch a victory, it was a good thought to have, as the dreaded Yaseikhaan was now in severe risk of losing his focus for the last game and losing out before he got the chance for the semis, for a second time today, 24 was the number that graced the cards, Athelotes arrogant undertones came through as he giggled like a schoolgirl, which did much to aggravate Yaseikhaan, however, Athelotes was now looking like the competitions new Dark Horse, coming from the mid ranks to push his way, forcibly if need be, to the top, with little separating him from his arch-rival, Beskar.

Athelotes beats Yaseikhaan

Finally, The cultured drizzt fan andjoooray took their places, both unlucky, joooray on the rebound after starting badly and the cultured drizzt fan still dwelling on how badly things had gone, after a promising start. Neither had belief in themselves, both thought they would lose, however, one was to be pleasantly surprised and it was still possible that they could make the semis if they put the work in, and put it in now.

One of them did this, and they did it in style.

The cultured drizzt fan shown all players that he was capable and still fairly lucky when he revealed a score shared with some of the competitions leaders, 18. Would this suffice? Suffice against Joooray, who was simply unlucky throughout? he started at 11, yet through complete lack of belief still believed he could bust in one draw, his face lit up however when he drew a jack of hearts, he had 21. The whole crowd had a look of disbelief, an epic 35 points would put Joooray outside of the last position spot since near the competitions start. He started to applaud himself, as everyone else applauded him, the Cultured drizzt fan however, looked so mournful as his chances for making the semis looked very strained, very strained indeed.

Joooray beats cultured drizzt fan

The day had ended with a twist and a bang, today's outcomes had settled some disputes and made some even more heated for day 7, the last match where all 8 would compete together...

After what had seemed like an eternity, the wait was over.

4 contestants in the hottest blackjack showdown the world had ever seen, would proceed to the semi-finals where stakes got even higher, for the other 4 though, they would leave the tournament gameroom with nothing, much less money than they had when they came in and definitely less respect. Today could make or break the contestants involved. The crowd roared louder than a pack of blood hounds and weren't much less eager either, for each had there bets and each wanted to gain money themselves. It was suggested extra security should be brought in today and by and large, it definitely was.

But as the contestants gathered there was something rather shocking, Gekkamir, of all days to fail arriving, was nowhere to be found. Joooray sniggered as his chances of winning his final match improved, yet his initial 2 cards were still in play, even in his absence. A week of gambling would soon progress and get even more serious, though clearer not serious enough for the missing contestant...

The dealer sat at the table and drew the cards.

The First match of the last 8 player round was between the two lowest scoring contestants, the tournament couldn't have started any more awkwardly if anyone tried to make it so, for Yaseikhaan was looking so angry that his forehead was red and veiny, with bloodshot eyes and a grizzly slouch of the mouth, he barely had a word muttered to him through fear. Alternatively there was the depressed Cultured Drizzt Fan. Who was presently bankrupt from a row of losses and was becoming more anti-social with each dollar that escaped his grasp.

As both contestants received there cards, one had a glow light up there face which no one expected, whilst another just succumbed even further through poor luck and a harsh critic, the crowd that all had there betting slips nearby.

Yaseikhaan had 16 at first, he had to gamble, if only he could get that 21 he could make the semis.....he didn't. He fell at the cruelest of margins, a blood curdling 22. He hammered his fist onto the table, making it shake, whilst abruptly leaving the room. the Cultured Drizzt Fan wasn't happy that Yaseikhaan was frustrated but he certainly wasn't complaining either as the golden 21 lay in his 2 cards. A gallant effort as some shred there betting slips and cursed, others rejoiced and chanted. Though it is the best result he could of got, the question was still there, the question being...Is it enough? He could only wait and see.

For Yaseikhaan it was all over, but he still had his fans and though he was no longer a high roller he still had his...connections....
:shifty:

Cultured Drizzt Fan beats Yaseikhaan

The second match was egged on by the crowd, with gave the contestants adrenaline boosts in the process, the match was between 2 superstars, at least superstars in the crowds eyes, Csargo with his fan club more on edge than a morbidly obese pensioner who had just ate 62 bars of concentrated laxative chocolate. But then there was also Beskar, who had, without realizing it gathered supporters of his own, though they all had Afros and wore flower printed aprons, which freaked him out a little, just what sort of people did he attract?

Either way it was electric as two consistent players fought in a clash that could send one of them out of the semis, given the ruckus and skill that was growing beneath the earthworks. As both assessed there cards, the crowded turned to Beskar, then back to Csargo, many times to see there reactions, a hint of whether they were betting on a winner, as casually as a crowd would eye a dog before it did a hound race.

Beskar was calm, he never worried and had faith in himself, unfortunately the cards didn't have faith in him, he suffered as another did before him. As he was in a situation he couldn't alter. His 14 went through the roof as one more card totaled him a disappointing 24. He was now barely taking his eyes off the scoreboard, hoping he'd be in the semis, he could be, but for the first time in the tournament it was looking likely he wouldn't...Csargo on the other hand as usual didn't have to gamble, a comfortable 19 awaited him and whilst pleased, couldn't felt feeling a little sorry for Beskar, given how easily he robbed the victory.

The Ichigo fans released.

The crowd went barmy, and if any moment compromised a need for security, it certainly wasn't now as many were reaching out for an Ichigo they couldn't and wouldn't be talking to for a long time yet, even though he was now quite easily a semi-finalist. Beskar would go home a proud man if he was eliminated, but he still preyed that he wouldn't be and the not knowing made his situation even more torturous.

Csargo beats Beskar

Match 3 commenced, or perhaps would more fittingly should be called 'Solo 3' given Joooray hadn't any company across the table, which made some of the audience laugh as he cracked jokes about his absent opponent. For the first time in the tournament, he got to peek at his opponents cards, and he was very glad he did. his opponents hand stood at a laughable 12. Though he knew he could win this match, it was hardly a test of his skill and he wouldn't get his skill tested any further if he didn't get an immaculate result today.

Immaculate? Perhaps not, but pretty dam close, close enough? He had 20, which felt a tad outclassed by the cultured drizzt fan, whilst a brilliant score it wasn't perfect which meant yet another person was added to the will I or won't I get into the semi finals. He used his charisma to repel his inner nervous, but he couldn't hide it, the sheer surreal experience of the tournament knocked everyone sideways in some way or another.

Gekkamir it seems was completely out of the competition, when he would finally get the news he would no doubt be kicking himself he was late when everything could have been different...

Joooray beats Gekkamir

Finally, the oh so precious day was subsiding, but no one could leave the most controversial players out and everyone knew it would be a match worth watching. Diamondeye, the priest against Atheotes, without an 'l'

The crowd was overwhelmed as they all whispered 'I never knew athelotes was spelt without an L' 'I was never good at spelling but athelotes, without the l, give over' and of course the classic, 'Atheotes? Who is that?' Eventually though, the L debates finished and the bible debates began, at least for the priest as he read out the 10 commandments, careful to erase ones that prohibited gambling.

Both players had made there entrance, now they had to leave there mark and show each other who was the business...Athelotes, who already got fairly consistent hands was aiming to continue the consistency, he did. With 18, he was happy yet a little on edge given his opponent and the fact that there were 3 scores higher than his own. In the end though, it was Diamondeye who was left panicking, after many risky draws he fell short on the conviction to go all the way yet still scored probably the best score he could have got, 17. He fell a few short and was close to overriding the commandments he bellowed out at the start, Athelotes was now, after consecutive wins hoping he'd be a semi finalist, where as Diamondeye was more concerned about himself than his score, as he applied the God's magical moisturizer to sooth that sore ankle hes had for a few weeks now.

Atheotes beats Diamondeye

Eventually though, Atheotes and Diamondeye looked at the scoreboard, everyone did, it was the moment of truth, who had cut the top 4, who just wasn't good enough? The suspense was killing and the climax was near. Just what would those results be....

Csargo: 136
Athelotes: 118
Diamondeye: 116
Cultured Drizzt Fan: 109
Beskar: 101
Joooray: 101
Gekkamir: 85
Yaseikhaan: 65

Beskar and Jooray's faces dropped like a weight in water. There joint scores, all the more of an achievement for the super unlucky Joooray, were not enough. 2 great contestants had to go and everyone was sad to see them lose out, though they weren't sore losers, both were kicking themselves and going through the 'what if' routine, however there is little else they could have done, both applied themselves and both got a respectable score that reached into 3 figures.

Gekkamir and Yaseikhaan were also sympathized with, the long gone Yaseikhaan and the absent Gekkamir both got poor results, but were still in the minds of everyone who supported the tournament. An unbelievable result had occurred overall though. CDF never though it possible to make the semis after his recent luck but he got there and his depression was cut short straight away. Diamondeye, still proud he made the semis, though he could have got there easier, Athelotes, always in the bottom rung yet always a good player, he earned his rank and finally top spot Csargo, as hot as a poker ignited by the sun, he was the one to watch with a sensational score which would hang over all other semi finalists until or unless he was cooled down....

Today was the decider and now the 4 proud scoreboard leaders commenced battle once more, stakes got higher and more serious and money was flooding the gameroom out, it seemed everyone would blow there cash on this tournament.

Day 8

Oh, how many longed to see that day, oh how the competitors hoped to still be competing on day 8, 4 of them still were.

Csargo, Atheotes, Diamondeye & Cultured Drizzt Fan all had there ups and downs, but through good luck, good judgment and knack for their game they flew into the semis. With only 27 points separating 1st from 4th, within the walls of 4 semi final matches anything could happen. The audience lunged onto their seats as they were paying more money to see less competitors but no one complained as there was truly no better place to be, blackjack had recently become a sport and was all over the media, the tournament would make a superstar out of the winner and each competitor could almost taste victory...

The dealer took his seat and drew the cards.

The First Match of Two was between Mega Star Csargo & Inexorably Skilled Atheotes. The touraments top 2 sat across from each other on the massive table, the tension was palpable. Athelotes was fiddling with the edge of his cards and leaning back on his leather laced chair, Csargo was combing his hair, using his fingers as a comb, whilst eying his cards up by revealing their corners unto his sight.

Csargo twisted, at 3 cards he considered his chances, his position on the board and of course, the chance of exploiting his hand or perhaps busting it. He sensibly stuck and receiving a small round of applause from his fans just for doing that. Atheotes behaved identically, as if using Csargo as a mentor he looked drew a card, looked at the scoreboard and played angel and devil in his head, before siding with the angel and sticking.

The two had both finalized there fates, what would there cards reveal? The two looked hard at each other, the crowd didn't know what to do or say as the competitors did little but move there lower lips and tense their hands. After a prolonged silence both threw there cards onto the table at practically the same time, Atheotes was a little quicker and shown everyone the number his cards made up, 17. Across the table, Csargo was a fraction behind him in both revealing his cards and the number on his cards, 16 was his number. The crowd ached from the suspense but soon applauded each mans effort.

This result would surely make the two competitors almost even Stevens, Atheotes winning streak was getting freaky even and Csargo was feeling the heat as his first semi final match was a defeat, though his sensible choices did ensure he would get some points at least, but could he have got more? Both left the table with thoughts overriding speech and dreams of winning overriding the rational reality that only 1 of them could actually be the victor.

Athelotes beats Csargo

This soon lead to the next match, match two, where the brilliantly bold priest, Diamondeye & the boisterous blackjack player, Cultured Drizzt Fan, pitted against each other. The tension from the last match connected with the one at present, as Diamondeye replaced the seat Csargo had kept warm for him, Cultured Drizzt Fan opted for Athelotes leather laced seat. Diamondeye was holding a cross and moving his fingers around his chest in irregular ways, as if he forgot how to prey. He did all this whilst looking at his cards, quite the multi-tasker it would seem. The Cultured Drizzt Fan put his feet up and signalled for wine as his fiances were gradually being restored, he looked at his cards by lodging them between his legs, irregular yet efficient so that others wouldn't see what he had.

Diamondeye drew a card them clammed up a little, the exuberance in his demeanor dispersed more rapidly than candy floss exposed to saliva. He had 24....

....Which is why the Cultured Drizzt Fan was even more upset when he also bust at a mind numbingly annoying 25. Very little was said after each had failed to increase there scores substantially, both were now worried Csargo and Atheotes would runaway with the tournament. Diamondeye was still in good shape but truly didn't consider his overall performance as he through his bible to the ground. The audience gasped. The Cultured Drizzt Fan remained silent, remained hard to read and remained fairly skeptical, however he'd climbed from the bottom to the top 4 in the first 7 days, so he still had some concealed belief he could climb to the top 2, eventually...

Diamondeye beats Cultured Drizzt Fan

As the scoreboard changed for the day, the audience left and the competitors retired to there quarters that were now accommodated for by the Casino itself. Everyone reflected on there match and were willing these next few torturous days to go on quickly in a bid to make the finals. Overall though, very little had changed and no body had made the impact they were hoping to....not quite yet anyway, and for that, well for that there was day 9!

Day 9

The night flew by and everyone arrived in the morning to lay their claim to a strong spot on the 2nd semi-final day of 4. Everyone looked a little rough for wear as there daunting task approached, knowing that they could try as hard as they like but if luck wasn't on their side then none of it would matter...

There was a smaller audience this time as few were going to get up at 8am, a bizarre time for the action to start yet an easy way to beats today's anticipation, for the competitors at least.

The dealer sat at the table and drew the cards.

The First Match had was now between Diamondeye & Csargo. Both having none poorly last round, Csargo especially, both were looking to regain a momentum. Diamondeye spotted his beloved bible by a litter bin where he chucked it and cherished it like a long lost daughter. Both approached the table, there was no turning back, the cards were laid out perfectly, the competitors job was so simple yet also so delicate....

Diamondeye quickly upturned his cards, his bible hugging clearly came at the right time as an epic 21 lay between his two cards. Csargo almost left the table just at the site of it, but stayed in the hope he could pick up a few points, as previously. He started tensely, drawing, then drawing again. It didn't look good as he over shot it finishing at 23. A deep sigh jumped out of his mouth as a cheer left Diamondeye's. Csargo was feeling helpless as his number 1 spot was slipping from him like ice. Diamondeye on the other hand, had certainly got his winning ability back and in the best fashion possible, he was now at the top and it felt good, would his luck continue?

Diamondeye beats Csargo

After a match full of surprises, 2 people full of surprises took their seats. Cultured Drizzt Fan vs Atheotes. Atheotes certainly wasn't happy after seeing Diamondeye race ahead of him, despite the best of efforts and a winning streak, Diamondeye's unpredictable hands were seemingly prevailing. The Cultured Drizzt fan however, was set on twisting unless he got an optimum hand, his strategy based on getting a great hand, not a good hand, which leads to many failures and an occasional brilliant hand....

As both got comfortable, Cultured Drizzt fan got even more comfortable, his opening score weighing in at 16. It wasn't good but the Cultured Drizzt Fan felt something, he was right to, one draw gave him a 4, and his final score mounted up to 20. Athelotes felt the heat now, whilst he won frequently he didn't often get really high numbers, which is why he was so horrified to find his hand was also initially at 16. He drew just like the Cultured Drizzt Fan, unlike him though, he got an ace and stopped himself at a disappointing 17. Athelotes winning streak cut down the middle and Cultured Drizzt Fan now back in the game, everything was to play for.

Day 10

As the blackjack players greeted there vast audience today it dawned on each person how close to the end this tournament was, after today, the last semi final match would arrive and the finals would finally come for two lucky competitors. Without further ado the days matches went full speed ahead.

The Dealer took his seat and dealt the cards.

Today, the first match was betwixt 4th place Cultured Drizzt Fan & 1st place Diamondeye. Cultured Drizzt Fan didn't sleep last night, he was too tense, so paranoid that he believed falling asleep may lead to him not waking up for the tournament being held at 7 pm today. Instead he stayed awake throughout the night and dropped off at midday, making the tournament only in the narrowest margin of time. Diamondeye was also tense but in his number 1 spot, was sleeping soundly and fit in a cheeky trickle of Whiskey when God wasn't looking.

Both of the know renown players approached the blackjack round table once more and all to orderly were the proceedings that followed. The cards were sneakily squinted at by there owners, both looking rather pleased with what they had. Diamondeye stuck at 19. However the Cultured Drizzt Fan surprised the audience by twisting, then twisting again. Looking a tad happier still, he halted at 19 also. Diamondeye had got the same score with just his starting cards, the win was his.

The Cultured Drizzt Fan was incredibly cut off by this point, convincing himself he couldn't make the final now in his current state. It dawned on him that he only got to the semi finals narrowly and was living off borrowed time. Diamondeye's eyes lit up when he saw he won, as a 1st place player just topped even the audiences expectations. The crowd roared approval, it seemed more people liked the priest now than on day 1.

Diamondeye beats Cultured Drizzt Fan

There was no worse a person to follow up than a 1st place winner, however Csargo & Atheotes attempted it. Csargo had a disturbed sleep, he was dreaming of winning a golden trophy, then at the awards stand have the Priest walk up to him and rip his heart out....

NIGHTMARE!!!!

Csargo was scared stiff half the night and didn't look much happier now as the priest was giving him a look of disapproval, almost. Atheotes sleep was sound, he was thinking of what winning could do to him and how he would spend his fortune should he manage to, Exotic holidays, sports cars, but more than anything he longed to start....

A GOOSE SANCTUARY

He was only too appalled by the goose fatality rate increases of recent years, and would preserve them, like all millionaires do...however these dreams couldn't come true unless he won. As each player, both distracted for different reasons & both at similar places on the scoreboard, approached the blackjack arena, someone would have to fall into a danger zone, can Csargo redeem himself by returning to his successful first week mindset or would Athelotes carry on claiming the ladder like the dark horse may thought him to be? They would find out now.

The dreams cut, the nightmares stopped. Plain and simple. Black and white. Csargo had 17. Athelotes faltered, in the end he had 26. Csargo received his first semi final luck as Athelotes received his first semi final blunder, this was now truly anybody's game in the race to the finals.

Csargo beats Athelotes

The Dreaded Scoreboard emerged electronically, once again. A heated day was now reflected in heated scores, the suspense could brake you, or fill you with adrenaline, as another live changing day fell into place. Athelotes sunk as the Cultured Drizzt Fan perked up, Diamondeye Smirked as Csargo smiled. The quarters were soon occupied as day 10 concluded.

The Final day of the semi final, an epic struggle would take place today, a battle of vast proportion and apprehension awaited the 4 sweating 'like a sauna in the summer' blackjack professionals. Atheotes and Diamondeye was face off today, both had given each other the most malicious of glares before even entering the room, then there was the Cultured drizzt fan and Csargo too, both so eager to get their match finished, which happened to be second out of 2, were practically running into the arena.

The Dealer took his seat and drew the cards, all four were at the table, Atheotes clenching his fists firmly on its surface, willing the cards to be stamped with his seal of relief. Diamondeye, who was looking to the heavens with his head held high and his hands eager to snatch the quickly placed cards. The Cultured Drizzt Fan pouring with anxiety, his legs moving like disturbed jelly and his face as taught as a strangled bulldog, then finally, Csargo, his face pale and worn down as if the tournament was giving him the strain of a heart attack.

The dealer announced the start of the first match, Athelotes & Diamondeye faced off, with Atheotes creating insulting finger gestures as discreetly as possible, which was replied by with a sharp jab under the table, applied to Atheotes more sensitive areas, neither were going to keep an arrogant atmosphere around them, the match had to be resolved.

Atheotes cleared his watering eyes and shuffled back on his seat as to stay out of reach from the psychopathic priest. He kept his cards so prized to his chest that not given dismemberment could loosen the grip. He glanced at his cards, what would the day behold for him? Tricky hands wouldn't do as Atheotes was now in last place, superior hands were needed, did he have it? He had, and didn't draw anymore, at 19. Would it be enough?

The answer was right in front of him, he'd know the answer already if he could see through opaque objects. Diamondeyes screened his head over his heads like some sort of impenetrable barrier, he clearly was the only one who could witness his cards, even God was closed out on this one. It seemed that the match wasn't all as successful as Atheotes needed though, when simultaneously, a 19 was produced by Diamondeye. It was tense, if the next two competitors bust then it wouldn't be such an issue, he just doubted it, that's all.

Diamondeye & Atheotes Draw

No sooner could Csargo and the cultured drizzt fan lunge forward, impatience was not a virtue, but neither cared, the suspense could kill, in fact it did kill as one woman in the crowd on the edge of her seat fell a horrible death, 40 feet below on conveniently placed concrete. Csargo burrowed his arms around his cards, more possessive than a possessed child wielding a progressively possessed toy that was also wielded to his hand with industrial strength glue. He peeked at his cards briefly, very briefly and revealed no emotion either way of a good or bad result, he requested a draw of a card. He belched, that was it...

On Cultured Drizzt Fan's side, he was quite open with his cards, everyone else has there choices in hand, them seeing his cards could spice things up a bit. Starting at a mind numbing 16, Csargo passed wind and then looked away, as if bored. The cultred drizzt fan soon took the risk he needed to take though, he was in a no win situation as a giant 10 cursed his hands, 26, was his total, a sure score to kick him out of the race for certain, he flew off in uncontrollable rage, but only after seeing Csargo's card. Divine 21. Csargo was now so happy that he started dancing as the crowds bard and told tales of his win, already with the use of hyperbole's to save his fans having to create them.

Csargo beats Cultred Drizzt Fan

That was all, the 4 had played out their course, but who were the top two, the final 2?

The Scoreboard came up on a giant screen in the back of the arena, anyone with eyesight difficulties wouldn't have problem with this. The crowd was flustered with shocked gasps and cheers as the scores outlined the two best blackjack players the world had ever seen, till now of course.

Diamondeye: 200
Csargo: 197

Athelotes: 162
Cultured Drizzt Fan: 147

After a heated tournament, the two top players had created some distance and were incredibly closely rung.

The cultured drizzt fan, who had blown most his money was still glad he played, after his rage he came back to the arena, he would watch the final alongside joooray, gekkamir, beskar and yaseikhaan. For Atheotes, a guy was always did well, his loss at the final hurdles was a dampening spirit for himself and many watchers, but was proud of what he achieved, everyone, even former contestants now lead an encore on Diamondeye & Csargo, the finalists, two powerful, controversial and able powers. Who would win this closely called fight? No one could predict, no one dared bet that night, it was all going so fast and so powerfully few could grasp the enormous atmosphere and speed at which the dramatic ending had come.... one match would decide one blackjack players fame and fortune and the other, quite likely clinical depression.

The Final Match

One small, abrupt yet vital match on the horizon. Showing both glimmers of hope and discontent as there were two finalists yet only to be one champion....

One of them would be deemed a celebrity and have enough money from the winnings to do whatever they wanted, whilst the other, after time, would sink into the ranks that the other 6 competitors are in and likely never be heard of again, the stakes were higher, so both competitors were hoping Lady Luck was on there side.

Csargo dressed up for the marvelous occasion, a cheeky wink to the crowd was delivered as he combed back his slick yet matted black hair, brushed his black tux and leveled his purple bow tie. He was preying that he would win, as his opponent entered from the opposite direction he saw that his chances were no higher than his foes, perhaps even less given his 'divine connection' with God. Diamondeye entered in his usual clergy cloths but wore a rather obscenely out of place top hat, bright red, like a beacon everyone was crowding around....

The Round table was replaced with a massive marble manufactured golden rimmed dining table, through its sheer size and exquisite design, it qualified as a blackjack table! Both finalists had servants, making sure each were prepared, happy and putting the chair out for each, both were followed by a long trial of V.I.P fans, staff members, even therapists... for one of the finalists this would be something to get used to, for the other it would be a rare occasion indeed...

Now Csargo's and Diamondeye's eyes met, withered eyes at that given the dramatic days previous, but it was all worth it for the chance of stardom. Diamondeye and Csargo had their cards placed in front of them on a silk cushion, in a small golden box. Both opened their boxes, both had their fate handed to them, both had some choices ahead of them. Each with veins pumping and seething out of their foreheads like giant thorns. Intense concentration was put into each players card and their poker face's were painted on.

Diamondeye found himself in a weak position, which could either get worse or perhaps extremely good, Csargo on the other side was also in weak position, his fate lay in the cards, it was hard to predict how it would go for him. Both players drew a card, both remained a canvas of silence and blankness.

Meanwhile, in the background, the crowd were all looking down on their heroes, admiring their skill and bravery yet wishing the results would be uncovered quicker as their souls let out a sigh of desperation. They were going to see what had happened soon though...

Diamondeye signaled with a finalizing nod, to stop drawing cards, it was a breakthrough as the crowd started gossiping and making there own little predictions on games they had betted so much money on to. Csargo drew again, the cards were in sight of his line of followers who gasped, some were querying just how fair it was, but soon it would seem obvious that fairness was a friend to only one player.....

Diamondeye Unveiled his gateway to fame, 21 shined in his holy hands. Csargo couldn't see what cards Diadmoneye had given the size of the table, vice versa as he placed his 22 down. The difference of one point, ONE POINT, had ruined one person and made reborn another, as when both players closed in on each other, the results were painfully clear...

Diamondeye blurted out an intentionally evil laugh that was mostly drowned out by the crowds uproar, yet easily heard by Csargo, who, by this point had jumped onto Diamondeyes face and scratched at his eyes, a recovering alcoholic and a priest were about to fight....

As Diamondeye clambered to the floor and felt his eyes being gorged at he remembered he was holding a holy cross, he hit Csargo over the head with it once, before Csargo felt the impact and recoiled reluctantly, he then waited until Diamond was getting up before land a roundhouse kick at the right of his face, both were now full of blood, as Csargo tackled the now dazed diamondeye to the floor, he felt pain in his arms as Diamondeye was viciously biting them. Csargo would have suffoxated the pries to death until of course, the crowd separated each contestant and each crowd member pretended they weren't yelling 'FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT' just seconds beforehand as sympathetic looks with given out in abundance.

After being treated at hospital, both of them recovered, no charges were pressed... Diamondeye was now a billionaire, had given out more autographs than he could remember and started work on the worlds first blackjack Cathedral, where he could prey and gamble without ever having to move, it would be like his own little heaven in a hellish idea...

All other competitors looked on in jealousy as the person they knew so well just days before was now living the high life, the tournament was at an end....the winner was official! With 21, he stood proud as his achievements wowed everyone and anyone who he ever met, after that day, he wasn't just a priest, he was a messiah!

Congratulations Diamondeye, Commiserations Csargo

Sorry about the finale taking a while to post

Well I decided that instead of using my own cards I'd use good old random org's card randomization, the cards it gives you may be a little dodgy but I felt it was a fair way of doing it, as I rotated the position of each player, each player got a different place in the sequence.

I.e.

I draw 16 cards from 8 shuffled decks

player 1 gets card 1 and 2 on day one
player 1 gets card 13 and 14 on day two

The order was decided by the order on the match ups for each day.
