To this day, I have no idea what "It's a trap!" refers to, and yet I am too lazy to bother finding out. :P

Its a line that the character Admiral Akbar says in Star wars.

From the film (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piVnArp9ZE0)

Just because I find this too funny for words. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fspMGqIAbQc&feature=fvsr)

huhu... funny

though it's not so weird to see this, "Akbar" (اكبر) is simply the arabic superlative of "kebir" (كبير), which means "big" or "great".
He is simply the "greatest admiral". (or the bigger...)

I think Lando's weird sidekick who talks all funny is much more worthy of having cameo appearances in games than Admiral Akbar. I mean, that scene is funny, but Lando's co-pilot is hilarious too.

And yeah, I know it wasn't supposed to be a reference to Star Wars, I'm just saying in general, Lando's sidekick dude is hilarious.

Yeah, It's getting somewhat disappointing when your 260 men Trireme fleet getting squished with 26 men polyreme fleet... especially if it comes out of nowhere

Something like that has happened to me before.

I had 3 units of tier 4 Greek warships (the ones that cost 2000ish to maintain). I was attacked by a fleet of pirates in their pitiful rafts...somehow I lost in the autocalc. :furious3:

Turns out they have amazing attack but their defense is lacking... ? :dizzy2:

Some pirate ships employ the tactic of banding their vessels together into practicaly unsinkable Goliaths... you should always study the enemy unit descriptions and stats if you can. I'ld suggest attaching a spy onboard. Leaving your super-expensive fleet blind is not recommended. Imagine building a massive battleship with no radar

Yeah, but real time naval Battle in ETW also still sucks in different way for me now, I still remember how I operate ONE small (frigate) ship to outmanuver the AI flagship, and several monitor... and sunk all of them down.... and now I had a usual style of playing ETW, use unlimited ammo, command only one frigate ship, and unleash hell to all the seven seas...... hahahahahahahah...... First I was going totally bogged down by commanding several ships in ETW, but after mastered the frigate command and boardside bombings..... hehehehe... it was more like a playing Third person shooters now....

Heh, I managed to defeat three ridiculously strong Baltic fleets with Baktria, they travelled all the way to the Mediterranean and as I had abundance of cash, I had a fleet made for the job. They sank in two nice autocalcs near Rhodos.

The Italians did this during WWII and lost their entire fleet due to lack of radar and aircraft carriers.
