It involves a man, his passion, his violence, hesitation, and tears. Several nights worth of action!
And to drive the point across, here is a picture to spice things up.
https://i491.photobucket.com/albums/rr278/A_Very_Super_Market/3-stooges-dr-phil.jpg
Dr. Bill
"Why can't we move?"
"Because they want to keep us powerless"
"Rise up, brethren, and death to the humans!"
The flowers were starting a rebellion. "What". William was totally exasperated. He sure was being bothered by this whimsical mental illness. Not only did he see talking flowers announce their intent to commit shady acts of genocide, he was constantly being bombarded with thoughts representing the full troupe of his conscious. The only way to combat this would be to close his eyes, as this would cause them all to say "Its dark" in varying tones. At least there was unison that way.
Unfortunately, this also resulted in William being unable to see. He counted five new bruises today as he had bumped into light posts, fire hydrants, and small children. Stumbling around in a park wasn't his idea of fun, but he has gladly going on his way to see local Psychiatrist/Psychologist Dr. Bill, and his wondrous machine of mind exploration. Seriously, he makes you say the whole thing. Bugger, who am I talking to?
Returning briefly to the third-person, I must notify you that while Dr. Bill is an oddball eccentric with a strange last name, he is quite the competent scientist. Today, William braves a thousand toddler's foreheads to travel to him because he has invented a mind exploration device to further help his patients. Tapping into his brainwaves (They exist, you know) Dr. Bill jumps in, shoots first, and asks questions later. Recipients of this treatment tend to leave with a sense of euphoria that just NEVER GOES AWAY, but William is a desperate man.
He opens his eyes for a split second.
"Alright, office is right the-HOTTIE!!"
His hands sprung to his mouth. The jogger continued by with their headphones on.
"How can you ignore me, you ungrateful bi----*sob"
Taken off guard, with tears streaming from his eyes, William desperately clasped his eyelids down and hoped for the best he should rape her
"WHAT?"
Fear had set in after that, and he quickly ran up the flight of stairs and into the office. A few more emotions manifested while he was on the stairs, but you'll see more of them later.
He rushed into the office. No one in the foyer. He heard Dr. Bill's familiar squeak toy in his room, so he bolted in there and shut the door.
"Yer late". Said the kind doctor, handing William some menacing instruments made of recycled nerf footballs.
"Put 'em on". Was the limit to the instructions given. William sat down, and after some painful guesswork, got them into the correct locations.
"You'll feel incredible pain". Said the doctor. Actually, that might have been Pessimism talking, but William did feel quite a bit. 50,000 volts worth of it. Unconscious, he slumped to the floor, while Dr. Bill quietly hooked himself up to a large contraption, now directly connected with William's erratic mind.

Rules
-A mafia game where investigators can choose to become serial killers. And townies can become serial killers. And a few mafia.
-Use Unvote, Vote: Beskar before switching your vote! Or I will be confused and lynch your puppy instead.
-Phases are 24 hours long each. Due to a highly inconvenient time zone, the phase changes will probably be at around 04:00 GMT. Sorry Brits. And Americans too. Everybody.
-Role PMs are fully quotable, but mafia have cover roles anyways. Misc. PMs from me should be for your eyes only, and our relationship would mean nothing if you revealed them to the world.
-WoGs will occur after two lynches without a vote from you
-Dr. Bill is a trigger happy maniac. Tied votes will be dealt with by random.org, and "no lynch" is not allowed.

"In flat plains of William's psyche, and epic battle was taking place.
Or rather, the tidings of war. Or maybe the backhanded insult that would start one. Hrm."
Despite his valiant efforts to glorify his journey into the mind, Dr. Bill quickly realises how dull this world is. But he experiences a strange sensation, as his boredom suddenly transforms into a cocktail of unrelated emotions. As the wave of confusion passes through his body, he writhes and tumbles onto the ground, and had there been passerbys, they surely would have noted the resemblance to a segmented worm. But it is over and done with in an instance. He dusts himself off and resumes his passage forwards. But he has lost all purpose in his actions. Sitting down, he lets himself rest before trying to decipher this odd situation.
Elsewhere, the realisation of intruders in the mind sends William's brain into a frenzy. It resolves itself to eliminate this presence by shutting off various sectors until it the problem disappears. Nice plan.
Night phase ends. Day phase begins, so get to voting!

Bit too hesitant and such. Seems like you are trying to keep a low profile.
Cheerfulness isn't really a sin in my book, and maybe it'll hint us something about him later on. Have we got anyone with a degree of neurobiology in the game? What could cause someone to behave like that (caffeine and alcohol come to mind)? Does it have any nasty side effects which we should kill it for?
Vote: miotas for defending himself right after he got voted, eight hours after his previous post.
Brilliant, everyone's going after me. Whenever I do get noticed it's so you can all pick on me.
If it seems I am unusually active at odd times, it's just the time zone difference. It's late evening here, prime random internet surfing time, so I've been checking this site every 15 minutes or so.

The weird schedule is a by-product of my time zone. To finish school, do stuff, finish homework, and type a write-up takes me until 20:00 PST, or 04:00 GMT. The previous schedule was just because I wanted to start earlier rather than later. It should be on-the-dot past this phase.
TM, you are absolutely allowed to talk outside of thread, quicktopic, PMs, or whatnot. Although I'd prefer if I got to see some of the conversation. :P
Also, since I am a lazy bum, not getting a response PM means your night action failed, or there was no appreciable result.

Aaaand, I miss my own deadline. *ahem
A dreary looking brainstorm (Pun #1) settles down comfortably. An intense debate between the quadrants and divisions begins. These masters of argument immediately reveal that they have no clue as to what is going on, and resort to pointing fingers in directions and improvising accusations. It works well enough. Quietly, Dr. Bill watches from the sidelines and scribbles a few notes on the squabble. While he does so, a drab hand starts to envelop the area, and the participants dull down as the battle becomes sluggish. A none too active brain reaches a conclusion. Love has no place here. "It's pointless, hopeless, no one could love a man like myself" twitches William. The doctor shifts his eyes, trying to catch a parcel of sense from this.
"When has love ever succeeded? Why, it probably doesn't exist at all? Blind physical attraction is what it is. Love is a lie. Forget it"
A resounding applause emerges from nowhere, as Subotan fades into the depressing mist. REM ceases, and the brain falls silent. The Doctor is left alone.

I offer the following piece of information. William is totally crazy.
A Very Super Market
01-27-2010, 04:56
"An odd jittering specimen is making it's way through grey matter. Wading hip-deep (thankfully) is a little bug-eyed creature, slurping rhythmically and bouncing through the field of cerebral solids. His eyes seem unfocused, merely gazing upwards at some non-existant object, something he must find very hilarious, as he never stops smiling."
Dr. Bill stopped writing. The little smiling man had stopped. Smiling and moving. He closed his eyes and his mouth. It was an odd moment. It then resumed its course, staring and slurping appropriately. His nostrils flared and sucked in the air. It stopped again. But this time, it only stopped its tracks. With no change in expression, it was immobilised. The wind picked up again, heavenly voices sung, and its being was no more. The horrible, twisted body still existed. But it was not particularily sentient anymore. The Doctor had just about enough of this. In any case, what good would this thing be to William? He picked up his brain rifle (Did I mention that?) and squeezed off some good shots, plying into the beast's back. He checked again. It was still standing, although there its back was split cleanly in half. He took a few more, and it collapsed to dust.
"Such an odd thing. Must have been repressed" he mused, and journeyed some more. Soon, a feverish brain would realise that it had done something wrong.

William may as well have been in a coma. Brain activity was a bit low, and Dr. Bill took it to be a sign of unsteadiness. Was it unsure of what course of action it would be? It sure seemed to be, casually flinging and retracting outbursts. The Doctor felt quite uncomfortable in the silence, and even more awkward when the bouts of activity were disjointed and alien. There was an odd feeling. Things seemed to be held back. He knew it. Did the brain know?
As uncertainly as it began, the brain ended the session with a quick, split-second accusation. Then it fell silent. A few neurons jumped then stopped. A half-leap? What is going on here? The Doctor looked around madly, trying to see any of the lobes fade away. They all seemed to be in stages of appiration. He sat back down and waited patiently. Slowly, one of them began to noticably waver. It would fade, spring back to a vivid shape, and then continue. Eventually, it got so faint that the Doctor failed to notice it, and he wrote it off and went back to exploring.
He was dead wrong. It would finally cease existence five hours later, after much apprehensive panderings back and forth between solidity. Sasaki Kojiro took his leave as he did his live, as paranoid, nervous and fraily as ever.
He was Apprehension.
Night phase begins. It is 24 hours long, but that is up for debate.

Hence why I expressed the annoyance of not being on during night, AVSM did say his rounds would have awkward times after all. :juggle:

TM, while I did start the day phase later than it should have, I had gotten the last night action PM 2 hours before the deadline.
A flustered red fog seethed past the screens, in the folds of the cerebellum. Doctor Bill was trying to get some sleep when we awoke in a strange scarlet hue. Having just woken up, he was grumpy and incoherent, and spent far too much time getting out of his little cave to investigate. He hit his head on the top. A pause in the oddly lighted landscape. His gargantuan struggle against the desire to rip his way out of the fleshy bits also took far too long. It annoyed him, and nearly cost him the struggle. But the strange carmine effect wavered and faded, and he calmed down. He peeked his head outside of the cave and looked in shock, as he could see a wave of colour slowly moving away from him. What in the world was that?
atheotes was in a peculiar silence, given his disposition. But it was only because he had fallen asleep, and now travelled freely in a nightmare, where he could scream and yell without tearing his vocal chords apart. Perhaps it was a coincidence that tonight, there was another being that wished to tear his vocal chords apart. In fact, it was teraing everything apart, having fits and tantrums over every inconvenience. Their progression towards atheote's corpse-like body was slow, and left an easily followable trail of uprooted vegetation (Brains have ecosystems, huh?). Not more than halfway across the field, the being encountered a particularily stubborn weed that was vehemently attached to the ground. He teared and the stem and sheared the leaves off with his teeth, madly attempting to obliterate the unassuming plant before he heard some abnormal screaming. atheotes had gotten up and walked a mile in his sleep before tripping and convincing himself of a broken bone. He now ran off on that broken leg, and his only injury would be to his voice.
Meanwhile, the Doctor slowly trailed the red-filtered area, trying to keep out of the tinge. It was hard work, as it paused and started without much warning, While crossing the slope of a grand hill, the area suddenly stopped for an extremely long time. The Doctor looked back. A visivle path stood behind him. He would be safe if he needed to run. He paused, then ran forward towards the epicentre, catching branches in the face and getting hopelessly flustered. When he finally reached Double A, he was near indistinguishable from him, a swollen mass, tensed up and practically emanating the longest wavelengths. He did not wait, and blew him to bits, and the colour reverted back to normal. The Doctor contemplated his situation, and then proceeded to write down some notes in preparation for the brain's new thoughts tomorrow.
Absolutely fabulous, I've been voted the most popular, oh how you are flattering. You do me to much honour.
Vote: TM
Why? Because of the WIFOM?
TM still seems pro-town for me and I'm inclined to believe him for now. I myself still don't like what atheotes has done last day phase. So I Vote: atheotes again.

"The shrieking, dear god the shreiking! No wonder this man is insane, he must hear this for every waking moment in his life. But he cannot see! He cannot look for himself, at the warped terror of that face, that face, only one that will every haunt me. I have seen men rip theirselves apart, tearing flaps of skin off and leave them dangling, but nothing will match that face! Is it ugly? I can't tell, for it's default position is so unnatural one cannot conceive it in a passive state! So while you are bombarded with screams as loud as the Concorde, your eyes agitate themselves on that hideous visage. His eyes are no longer eyes, truly jelly without the skin. How do they quiver like that? They bulge in the wrong places, and it feels ready to burst! Loosen your muscles, you will blow your eyeballs open! The nerves! How can they withstand that contortion! The pain! To mash your cheeks and mouth into one, to sever tendons with that scream, oh dear lord! The teeth, perfect, sparkling white, jutting out of harsh ridges of the gum, dry and pasty, cracked, with sores all over! The lips do not stay in one place, but waver back and forth, gnashing and cutting themselves over the flawless enamel, they are blood red, and the blood leaks out and onto off the chin. The nostrils flared, but incredibly, even the bridge is cracked leftwards, as if through will power, making even more wrinkles and letting the image jut out at an obscene angle and into your memory"
atheotes shut up after an hour of this. He saw it coming.

I forgot to mention, atheotes was HORROR
This night, we lose our great academic narrator, Doctor Bill. Oh how we will miss his comforting moustache, and his vaguely motivational rants about you and your oddly-shaped earlobe. No longer will the airwaves be infiltrated by the fibres of his facial hair, or the soundwaves of his drawl. Today, he lies dead, covered in flowers, his grave: a lonely little section of some chump's brain. Said chump is probably still hooked up to that machine, wittling away his hours. How will he cope now?
But all is well. Our good doctor did not actually help him. Indeed, he never destroyed anything harmful to the boy's psyche. The worthless rat. All wax and combs. I bet his moustache is fake too. Now he is dead, and the world is better off for it. For now, let us watch the beautiful petals of the flowers dance and twirl, with their entrancing little steps. Calm yourself. Make yourself at east. Let them flow freely, their soft, organic, superior skin flitting away and sliding smoothly off your clothes. Are you relaxed? Continue.
Let them consume you. Cover you. They make a free bed, the finest silk covers and sheets. You feel nothing as you slip farther and farther, before long, you are gone from view. Only the petals remain, and the dirt, and both decompose to provide fodder. The greatest, you, are the base of their operations, as one by one, blossoms shoot up sucking their energy right from you. Their roots spread far, take you over, you are nothing but dirt.
And dirt is superior to animals.

Question to AVSM: Is Cent going to get WoGed if he does not vote this round?
Subotan, why, what's wrong with miotas?
It says after two missed lynches is when they would get WoG'd. I think Cent has been gone for longer than that. I'll wait to switch my vote off of him until AVSM confirms it.

Too little people. That is all I will say.
Well, it seems kinda strange, that Cent would be active some where else and not here if he has any power at all, nobody who is really guilty lurks that hard, or?
I just wrote him on his wall to remind him that he still is in this game. Right now I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and thus change my vote.
What I am really concerned about is though, that although TM claims to be an investigator, we have never seen any results from his night actions. Also I find it strange that he was never attacked during the night for being a known pro-town figure. That combined with the possibility that investigators can turn into serial killers in this games makes me Unvote; Vote: Thermal Mercury.

Of course mafia can lurk that hard my enthusiastic negotiator, I think it near impossible that hes playing one minute then completely forgets the next, that he is vigorously active elsewhere should alarm you my bright cord of boiled brilliance!

I'm not an investigator my embraceful soul of essence! But if I were, why on earth would I reveal there roles? Do you expect me to go
'Hey guys, hes innocent, mafia make sure you kill him tonight!'
I haven't found any interesting results with my role yet, so I have nothing to reveal! Also, whilst were having a jolly debate I might add that I wouldn't have revealed I had a role unless I knew I could you know....manover around the mafia, it would make me a bad townie to openly admit I can do things without night protection...
As Joy I don't think you could possibly want to destroy me, without joy poor Dr Bill will wither! So Heads up and thumbs down, Today we shall rejoice in destroying the evil brain cells!
Now back to one of the evil brain cells, AVSM says that there are 'too little people' to WOG centurion, as there is one kill per night, it would make sense that he is the last reminaing mafia, hence why he can't be WOG'd, it makes sense, so if your lovely and fluffy, you'll not destroy the brain in which we thrive on, my lovable eccentric cellular wonder!
Man, you are making this hard, TM. :laugh4:
On the one hand I have little to argue against what you said, on the other hand this is also a very convenient cover for a mafia you build up there. Also the part about AVSM is where your logic fails you as this is most likely not the only explanation for what AVSM said. My vote stays on you for now, if you indeed have any pro-town power, it has failed to help us so far and thus we can most likely live without it and I'm still not convinced you are not mafia. And finally, you ARE the most handsome of us, so you deserve to win that contest. :gorgeous:

7 people left alive and I think we've only had one kill the last few nights? Not entirely sure. Basically we lynch someone today and if the murders continue we have 3 lynches left unless two mafia are still alive. Unforeseen circumstances have delayed the game (In other words, I had too much work on my hands). Day will last from now to Monday at 0400 GMT.
RESIDENTS TAKE HEED
Contrary to beliefs of calm tidings, all is not well. We repeat, you will be destroyed. We will bury you. And you will not grow as we do.
The lack of murder tonight is due to our whims and needs. We went to watch football instead of settling your worthless bodies. It was a good game. The ref was obviously skewed for Green Bay, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. We had a much better time watching the game then getting ourselves dirty with blood. Now we must announce this again.
Death will come to you all. Do not fight it. You will lose and make a fool of yourself. By dying.
Remember our name. Remember that you are only the first of the fauna to be eradicated. You should be proud of this, and tell your neighbours so that they may commit suicide in place of hindering our conquest. You are stupid and cannot fight back properly anyways. You are better off blowing your own brains out instead of trying to shoot ours. Because we don't have brains, and we will laugh it off. And you will be very embarrassed at what you have done.
Remember our message; we will prevail; you cannot prevent it.

A NOTICE FROM YOUR OVERLORDS
Another has fallen. You call him miotas. We prefer the term "manure". Indeed, this one was so pathetically reserved to his fate that he did nothing to delay his death. We may have made our previous messages clear, to not resist, but we prove ourselves incorrect. It is no fun destroying such a passive incarnation. It resembles our own physiology too much, and we are forced to console each other deeply.
But we strive forwards easily. That moment of vulnerability, whence we questioned our sexuality (Still pollination-based, mind you) is long over. We have regained all proper mentality, that of pillage and destruction. We do not need to justify this to you, fools. As your former compatriot sullenly took his position and waited for death, we gave ourselves time to concoct even more schemes.
These will be revealed shortly of course. Our intelligence holds no bounds.

Any of you lot could be
vote: csargo.
scum
Great reasoning.
Why would Csargo kill miotas, when you, Centurion1, seem to be a confirmed townie? I'll go with Vote: Joooray.
Why wouldn't he? There is not much argument in what you say, Sevis.
I don't this to be perceived as a OMGUS vote, but I'm suspicious of you and thus Vote: Sevis.
Little we can go on right now though.
If you lot hit a townie, it's a mafia victory
So get it right.

Sevis makes an interesting point. The only person who would leave Cent alive is you, because he thinks you are innocent. Since there's a pretty high chance that Cent. is innocent considering his inactivity at the beginning of the game, and WoG rules that were in place. I'll Vote:Joooray there's no better option in my mind.

Yeah, but maybe the mafia though it would look like that.
As it most probably doesn't matter anyway at this point I'd might as well reveal. I'm fear and as such I have the ability to protect someone during the night by making them extra cautious. Was not very successful with my protection choices though. :embarassed:

did anyone else get the message from sevis......
No, I did not. But he is suspicious of me, so it comes as little surprise to me. Also him asking if we can talk outside of the thread kinda gave it away.
So what does it say? Anything that let's him seem less scummy?
No, Cent, nobody else did, seeing as you're the only confirmed townie. I was actually quite sure you and Joooray were working as a team, and that you had some sort of proof of Joooray's innocence. Was I mistaken...?
Why would he. I wanted to make sure if Cent forgot he was in this game or was showing a serious case of lurking and thus wrote him on the wall.
If that makes me innocent is up for the you guys to decide, though I probably wouldn't have cared about a missing townie if I were mafia. But then again it is true that this could be a clever ploy. You decide, all my cards are on the table, see above.
We do have to come to a decision soon tough. Right now it is pretty much a stalemate.
Let's see:
Csargo - Very inactive throughout the game. Don't know much about his playing still, but he doesn't strike me as someone who'd be going for lurker victory, rather seems not that interested in the game.
Cent - Rather odd situation, but I believe him that he didn't remember he was in this game. AVSM at first also forgot to send me my role pm. It could be the case that he actually has a mafia role as I don't think there are many plain townies in this game, but if he was that would be so odd he deserves to win. Also if he really was mafia, I guess AVSM would have contacted him, because he didn't hear from him.
Sevis - Can base my suspicion solely on a gut feeling. Little else I can go with. Seems pretty eager to get my lynched and interested in the game, which makes him look like someone who has something to lose. Also a pretty new play and if I were him, I'd also have difficulties to just lay low and let the others take care of each other.
Well, that's just my 2cents. :2cents:
Joooray, I had the feeling the two of you were collaborating quite a bit more... Never mind that, then. I'll need to rethink a bit. For now: Unvote.
Just making sure - the day ends in around 36 hours, right?

Jooray's vote was switched to Csargo, and that clinched it
All rejoice! The loathsome flower horde has been vanquished!
Their nigh-indelible presence from this peaceful slab of grey has finally been removed, thanks to the great efforts from the few functioning lobes of this brain! Csargo was picked from the ground and given to a love-struck schoolchild, who proceeded to painfully rip off all of his petals in the most fitting punishment that we have determined. Needless to say, his reign of destruction has harmed our judgement, but he is indeed dead. The schoolgirl, we hear, got "I love you" as an answer from Casrgo's remains, so it is all a good ending.
Reconstruction can begin. Re-activate the neurons, pulse electricity, and bring things back to functioning. All will take part. Any residual flower activity is to be dealt with accordingly. Eat them, if you are hungry. We are going to bring this thing back to speed, and nothing will stop us!
And now for a history lesson. During the American Civil War, General Sedgewick once gave a rousing speech to his men, proclaiming their invulnerability against the enemy's inaccurate weaponry. He was prompty shot after alleging the Confederate's inability to hit an elephant at their current range, either proving his pachyderm tendencies or confirming his status as a blowhard

yep you better roleblock him. then this is over. if your telling the truth........
Already sent the PM :)
I think Csargo had some more information on him. He went against me as soon as I switched to Joooray for the second time. Strange, really - as if Joooray's life was more important than his own.

Well, I'm not, but whatever. Let's see what the night brings us.
But good call on Csargo anyway.
