Custom avatars optional?

Is there a way to have an old school type avatar without having a URL avatar accompanying it? My current hack appears to work relatively fine, anyway. :beam:

Sure, go to your userCP, choose to display avatars but not URL ones. The other way is possible too.

Not quite, because I cannot see other people's URL avatars either, which I do not mind.

In essence, I'd like my current small avatar to appear alone regardless of whether other users have the URL avatar option turned off or on.

The URLavatar system was wanted to be sort of uniform too, so it won't be mixed with the small one.
