So, a year or two, Isaac appeared near Armavir and the Hay finally have a place to call home.

From then on, Isaac roams my lands; from Armavir to Mazaka/Ipsos, he turned back to Kotais and men stationned at a northern watchtower saw him heading north, into the steppes.

My question is, what should I do with him?

Who's Isaac the Wanderer?

I think he's talking about this guy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wandering_Jew), what it has to do with armenia or even EB is beyond me though.

um.....if he's a wandering eleutheroi army....kill him =/

Jew or no jew; wanderer or rogue, a good eleutheroi is a dead one.

Devastation is bad for Hai, especially when u border the grey death D= u need all the money u can get.

Wasn't the wandering jew past our timeframe, Jesus wasn't crusified on his 14th after all (the end of our timeframe), and he started wandering after Jesus his death, so I don't think it is the wandering jew.

Also, what is the porpose of eleutheroi diplomats, you can't really negiotiate with 'em, only bribe them.
Ey wait, bribe that wandering dude.

Isn't Isaac a script spawned rebel diplomat?

He is.
Does he disappear, or will he roam the land like Sartres?

Oh well, the guy's awesome, a FM of mine recieved a wilderness prophet while he was in the same region. Now, the cult of Aramazd is spreading all over the kingdom. Temple building has made my FM an architect and an efficient tax assessor.

BTW, you can't make peace with the rebels, the only option available is "Bribe"

I'm not sure exactly. In my last Hayasdan campaign he was eather killed by the script or died on his own.

I'm not with my home computer so can't look at the script to say for sure. Anyway he is not going to do any harm

A diplomat huh? In that case it's better to bump him off with a few assassins.....

....has anybody seen rebel diplomats bribing armies over?

Did you recently unite the Caucasus? I think he's a part of the Pan-Caucasus reforms.

I did, don't ask me why but after reading your guide to AS, I suddenly felt like starting a Hayasdan campaign. First time Hayasdan, and so far, the best campaign I ever played. It has everything, shepperds fightings soldiers, natural disasters on hooves in the north, and FM's more worthy than the knights of the round table.

Welcome to the club. Բարով եգար. Been playing Hai for ages now. Over, and over, and over again.

BTW who the heck is Isaac, never seen him.

"Welcome." Lost in translation: everything else that words aren't good enough for.

Thanks.

I saw you first wrote it with latin cases; do you know the prononciation too?
It always a pleasure to learn something new.

Hayeren is my first tongue. Certainly I know the pronounciation (I pronounce as the Hai from Hayasdan proper, not pokr Hayk, as our western brothers haven't evolved and assimilated the unaspirated sounds of our fellow Caucasian members). Unfortunately, I do not know how the pronunciation guides work, such as those in dictionaries. Bar-Ov Ye-kar (k unaspirated, meaning using vocal chord, not lungs), essentially, when you get to the roots, means May the Sun shine down on your and brighten your days as you have arrived. It's strange how two words can mean so much, but Barev (hello) and Barov, these are remnants of ancient Sun worship, human-kind's first god, as it gives us possibility of life. Arev is Sun, from Ar, the first sound of man, or as you may be more familiar with the Egyptian god Ra. Catching the idea now?

Done a little checking and he is part of the pan caucasus empire reform, he's supposed to be killed off by the script which is why you probably haven't seen him.

Isn't that when you get type I in Armavir? I've already done that. Caucasus is mine. No Isaac no nothing. I don't want Isaac.

I think Isaac has to do with gaining the Arkhen Arkah trait. He's supposed to die instantly without you noticing him, but it seems like the script glitched in this case.

I got Arkahen Arkah. I thought that was a trait you get after you get the Persian Empire reform as Hayasdan, not just the Caucasus reform.

As I recall, I think after the Persian reform is completed the title changes once again from Arkhen Arkah to Shahanshah.

I Think in that case, some Eleutheroi captains must had the name Issac too, and when the killing script run, they are confused with two guys....

In my Hayasdan Campaign, when I finished Pan-Caucasus reform, Isaac appeared around Armavir, and after a turn, my FL get Arkahen Arkah trait.

He is supposed to appear / to be spawned at the same place after Persian Reform (you have to build Gov1 at Susa and Persepolis, and Gov1 resource will only available when you build PERSIAFULL in 6 regions), and bring the title Shahanshah to my FL.

However, after I built Gov1 in Susa and Persepolis, I am waiting for him to be spawned and give the title Shahan Shah to my faction leader, but he doesn’t appear after many many turn.

I am tired of waiting, so I type ~ (console command) "give_ ancillary Bagrat of_Amaskuni Shahanshah_ancillary”

(Bagrat of_Amaskuni was one of my diplomats)

Bagrat get the ancillary (the ancillary symbol is the faction symbol of Arche Seleukeia) and after a turn, my FL get the Shahanshah trait.

So, Isaac, I am still missing you. Why don't you appear?

So Captain Isaac, why you don't bring the Arche Symbol with you? :furious3:

So changing Isaac name in the script can resolve the problem? :huh2:

Epimetheus
01-30-2010, 20:11
Not really. The problem is that the names of captains are randomly generated on their creation, which no matter what you change the diplomat's given name to, there's still a chance that a rebel captain will have the same name. The only way I can think of to avoid this problem would be to give Isaac an rebel surname as well, but that's just speculation on my part. I'm not sure there even are any, so you'd probably have to make one.
