EB Freeze at start up - Need help

Greetings!

So I just downloaded EB for the first time tonight I made sure to follow the steps carefully, making sure I have a clean install of RTW patched to 1.5 and all of that. So everything goes smoothly until I try running EB, it will open up and show me the first screen and just stay there until I Alt Tab and manually close it. It will give me a error report message telling me I closed a non-responsive program. So I'm not exactly sure what I did wrong in the installation process I've followed installation guide on these forums even and nothing seemed to fix it yet.

Has anyone ever seen this problem before? Any help/suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Edit: Apparently I wasn't waiting long enough at the first screen where it says "Europa Barbarorum" It took a surprisingly long time though. Anyway, looking forward to trying out the mod. Thanks anyway.

First of all, if you just installed EB, better go apply these fixes (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=109936) so to prevent any other potential problems, however I think what is going on is this:

EB is just taking a long time to load.

Why? Because EB has lots of stuff to load. If you don't have that much RAM, then EB is going to take a fair bit of time to load up, though I think at start-up it can take around or upto 10 minutes. Usually, I just leave EB to load and go get gaming 'aids' whilst I wait for EB to load (snacks, blanket, coffee, etc). Just leave EB to load, as it likes to take a long time doing so. Also, it'll take a while loading up a new campaign or save game, so be patient. It isn't like Vanilla RTW.
