Hi all,

What determines Bribery cost? Is there any way to change to alter this or is it hardcoded? Why are rebels cheaper to bribe than loyalists (what are the mechanics of this?)

Thanks,
Gloucester

mmmh, given my experiences, is depends on leader's capacities & loyalty far more than on troop numbers. As rebel leaders have a zero loyalty, they're fare easier to bribe, IMHO.

Numerous things determine this, the size of the unit your trying to bribe, the type of unit you are trying to bribe, the strength of the army you are bribing, the size of the generals loyalty, the skill of the general, the valor/weapon/armour level of the unit.

That's all the ones I can think of, hope that helps.

the other factor is the rank of the emissary doing the bribing. mostly, the bribing seems to be something like loyalty of the general in charge, times the number or cost of men in the unit, divided by rank of the emissary doing the bribing. that is NOT an exact formula, by any means, just a sort of general feel of how it works based on observations. you could even simplify it to something like 'worth of the army' divided by 'rank of the emissary'. and no, i dont know where the formula for this is kept in the files, but it's prolly hard-coded in the .exe.
