I am not sure if I should post this here or in the Software/Hardware forums, but I have a question. Flying Corps is one of my favorite games, and IMO the best flight simulator ever made to this day. The problem is that ever since my ME, I have not been able to play it. I was wondering if anyone knew if getting the Gold edition would make it work on a modern computer. I am crossing my fingers, because I really wanna play that game again, lol.

Getting the Gold edition probably won't help as it was released in 1997, only a year after the orginial, so it won't have solved compatability problems with new PC's. Getting it to work now could be difficult and partly depends on the operating system you currently use, Vista is likely to be harder than XP. The first thing I'd try in any case is to run it in Windows 98 compatibility mode (find the .exe file that launches the game, right click -> properties -> compatibility), and also tick the "Run in 256 colours" and "640x480 screen resolution" boxes and if that doesn't work try the Windows 95 mode.

You could also try an emulator called DoSBox (http://www.dosbox.com/). Although Flying Corps doesn't appear in their supported list it is probably worth a try if the compatibility mode doesn't work. Alternatively, I found this (http://www.wingsofhonour.com/flyingcorps/tipsandtricks/html_woh_flyingcorps_tipsandtricks.en.html) website which has a list of tips and tricks you can try to get it working.

Hope this helps

Thanks much! I will have to try that when I get home.
