Hallo to all..

Eb have a crash in 175 bC. for resolve the problem I have tried to use the commands
1) show_cursorstat
2) move_character "Marcvs Papirivs Turdvs" 97,123 (coordinate for Rome)
but it does't work..so...I have tried all possible variations of this command: changing the position of commas, without quoting the name...

I have tried all possible variations of the name "Marcus Papirius", "Marcus Turdus" ...

the message of the shell is always the same one : character not found

in past I have find a solution moving the generals in the map...

Hello and welcome to the ORG!

You will find the EB-FAQ here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=84854) for basic information of the mechanics of EB.

Do NEVER, I repeat NEVER,NEVER EVER move a character (FM,Captain, whatever) from a city or in a city, this will get you a "ghost-general", and this may result to repeatable CTD's.

Please post more information about your CTD, some reasons and how to get around are mentioned here (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=103681).

Moving Roman characters is difficult. They all have the same last name 'Romanvs', the first name is the first showed name, in your case 'Marcvs'.
As there are more than one Marcvs in any Romani-game, the first name can also be MarcvsA, MarcvsB,....MarcvsK
To find the matching, use the command "character_reset", if the right character has its movement points resetted, go along with moving it.

Hello xSamatan, and thank for the advice..
My Ctd seem be a part of this kind :
The game crashes as soon as I end turn / The game crashes during the AI turn.

it happens regularly that i move a general, and after a pair of turns there is a ctd during the AI turn

to me it seems that several Generals there are incompatible with some regions... in fact, if i remember the last general that i move, and, I transfer it in an other region, I exceed the ctd, so, i wanted to make this also with Marcvs Tvrdu....;
for hurry on, was my intention to use the command character_move.

I do not think the game crashes by simply teleporting a character. IMO it is moreover the case that you may have moved wrong characters.
Use the steps I mentioned above to find the matching character.

So did you follow the advices given in that part of the frequent issues? Do you have a repeatable crash or are they more random, and you can come over them by reloading the game?

Hello..
yesterday I have not written that in order to return to the desktop i must press the escape key... it is important...?

I have already followed the following steps of yours advices:
1) Try to reload the game and end turn once more.
2) Reload a savegame from 2-16 turns before and play from there.

I do not have rebellious cities .....

I assume your CTD is repeatable?

The following steps should help you

open the console (it si the key left of the "1"

Use toggle_fow to check all settlements on the map for rebellion (meaning about to rebel, not being eleutheroi!) and prevent them from doing so.

* Check for the pitchfork icon when double-clicking each city.
* For each city with a pitchfork, make sure it does not rebel. There are many ways to do this:
* EITHER: Reduce the population of all rebellious settlements: add_population <settlement> -4000, where settlement is the name of the settlement.
* OR: Install the force diplomacy mod and force them to sell you the settlement.
* OR: Teleport over a unit and lay siege to the settlement. move_character "<character name>" <x>, <y>. The character name is complicated
If he's named Appivs Cornelivs Blasio, for instance, his real name could be "AppivsG Romanvs", "AppivsJ Romanvs" or any other letter between A and K after his first name.
for Romans, and "Firstname Middlenamelastname" for others (make note of capitalization, hyphens and lacking space!). X and Y are the map coordinates to teleport him to.
You may get the coordinates where you want to go to by: Write show_cursorstat in the console (don't press enter), then point the mouse where you want to go and press enter to apply the command. The console will output the coordinates.
You cannot teleport to sea, cities or impassable terrain.

If you cannot fix it, please upload a save-game (here is how-to (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?80870-How-%28and-why%29-to-post-a-SaveGame)

Hi!
I have resolved the problem with the old method: with Tvrdvs I have gained a battle, conquered a city, at last I have moved normally Tvrdvs without army (without to use Move_character) from Greece to Italy.
therefore I supposed well which it was the problem: Tvrdvs was incompatible with Greece. now I have exceeded the 175aC and are in the 174 aC.

but it is a temporary and ordinarily solution. there is reason to believe that I will have shortly a new incompatible general with an other province or region;

therefore I would want upload a defective save-game...but...I do not find the folder with the save game...can you help me?

this is the directory of my EB Computer\windows7\ program\activision\rome total war\EB

I remembered that the saved games are contained in the Eb folder. but I do not find nothing...I'm attempt...

RTW has sometimes a CTD, if you solve it simply by reloading, be happy and continue with playing.

In any case has the just existence of a character (your Tvrdvs) in a region (in your case Greece) nothing to do with a CTD in your game. This is not related.

The saves are located in EB\saves; but I doubt uploading it will help you come across individual and not repeatable CTD's.

BTW: You know about the EB-campaign-script?
