this seems like a lot of people could contribute. pick a game and how you know you play it too much. ill start:

modern warfare 2: when you play with the sound off to avoid waking anyone at night, and can still hear all the sounds that airstrikes, etc. and your guns are making.

fallout 3: 1. when you go to school and think that you can just press a button, and a vending machine will give you all its contents.
2. when you play paintball and wonder why a targeting system never appears to help you aim.

empire total war: when you use it as a historical source for Civics.

..when you go to take a school final and wonder why there aren't any questions about your grandmother ordering you to murder someone.
I wish the G.O.A.T. was real. :(

... feeling like it would be perfectly normal to haul someone out of a sportscar stopped at a red light, running over the owner to get more points being optional.

The GOAT always gave me the same result.

...... when you wake up having a dream about a game and then realize you sleepwalked over to your tv and are holding the controller humming the music.

im not even kidding i didnt play video games for awhile after that one.

Nothing actually beats my dream where I was Shepard fighting the Cardassian Dominion Empire, and had Garrack was a crew-member of the Normandy.

Back in my pokemon days I would hear the music playing after I had turned off the game.

I always know I've been playing and/or obsessing over a certain game too much when I start having dreams about it. The number of MTW battles I've fought in my dreams would be enough to fill dozens of hours of real-life gameplay.... :embarassed:

Whaddaya talkin 'bout? I still hear the music, and I have never even played the games. I did however watch the anime, and it was my favourite. EDIT: Oh God, the nostalgia, it is so intense

You know you game to much that when you turn off the game you are playing you still hear the music...

Im looking at you pokemon...

Edit 2: I got one... You know you're an addicted gamer when you cant get to sleep because you saved right before the final boss and your too jumpy and you mind doesn't want to settle down so you can go to sleep despite the fact that you have finals in three hours and its already 4 am.

This happens to me, but I find that I will be dreaming about real life, and then it will slowly change into a dream about the game I'm playing. Happens less so with strategy games and more with RPG's and FSP's, but there are times when I will find myself fighting in a unit of hastati or baktrian light infantry. This also happens with books I am reading, and it used to happen with the tele, but I don't watch it much anymore.

Way to make me feel like a Geezer Prussian, I played those back in elementary 4,5,6th grades. I still play them now Yellow is by far the most entertaining.

Are you nuts? I still play it on my classic Game Boy, the transparent one

Anyhow, I've never really dreamed about games. I have had several dreams involving this RP I take part in on another forum, mostly about the forum politics...

EDIT: What about Donkey Kong Land on the Game Boy? Even my mother still recognizes the DK Island Swing song, simply 'cause I played the game so often

Yeah, same here, the rest of you guys do play too much... :laugh4:

I read too much instead. Especially since I am largely bored by games, despite being a very infrequent player. Dunno, games do not usually capture my attention for too long

The last game I spent much time on was Mount and Blade. When that ultimate version of Hegemony 268 BC mods comes out, I will go back to it again. This upcoming version of Hegemony is like EB II - as a matter of fact, Hegemony is basically nothing but a copy of EB, only this time in the limits and possibilities of the M&B engine.

I used to have the brickish green one, but I think my cousins have it now.

Oh and I once dreamed about Spyro on PS1 after a marathon day of playing it, woke up the next morning and swore of the game for a week.
