Something I Hate

Scythed charioteers and their horses look as though they're really well armored. But in the stats they're unarmored. How does this work? Are they just covered in special paint that looks like armor but isn't?
I can understand that the even with some amount of protection that the chariot would still be vulnerable to missiles and things, as are the elephants, who have some armor if I remember correctly, but I find it hard to believe that all of the armor shown on those men and horses would be so useless that the vehicle would be as vulnerable to enemy weapons as is your average naked celt (Gaesatae do not count as average). They should have an armor value of some kind IMHO.

Maybe they do in a more recent version and my version is just out of date. If so, I'd like to know.

I have EB 1.0. Never bothered to upgrade for some reason. Does anyone know if they are supposed to have an armor of 20 in 1.0?
