hey EB'ers

I just wondered about the orgin of this son of the Arverni starting Faction-leader. The FL is from the Arverni-tribe and all his other sons also - but for some reason he's given birth to the Osi tribe.

If I recall correct then you can get Osi-fm's if you hold Tylis, Nicaia and some other settlements as a celtic faction. But why he is in the familytree? Adoption? Man of the hour? A stolen child?

Maybe one of the Celtic-Team-Members can give an answer.

Thank you in advance, H_U

I was curios about it too. But Google keeps silence about him. And I realy doubt such information exist in my city library :-) Well, I think he never exist IRL. And he is Osi to depict the link between Arverni and that migrated to the East tribes. Or his mother was Osi? And only hi took her nationality?

I'm almost positive that he, like most of the other barbarian family members, is fictional. The team tries to be as historically accurate as possible, but what if there simply is no data? They have to do something. If they know that a barbarian tribe existed, and that it was important, but have no idea who led it at a particular time, and no way to find out, what should they do? Leave the faction out, or improvise in order to make the game playable.

Heck, from what I can tell, even some of the members of the Hellenistic royal families are fictional, or inaccurate, or missing. The EB team is awesome, but they're not omnipotent.

As I recall the surname refers to the Arverni kings claiming to be decended from the god Lugos, as for the first name maybe they went something common or maybe the name of a mythical ancestor.

Belenos is referred as a celtic god so this FM is just named after this diety. The Osi seems to have settled on the eastside of the Danube in modernday Hungaria and up north to the Carpartes (sp?).

It's just that I want to knew wheter there is a backround to implement this FM in the Arverni factiontree or not. I have some suggestions for roleplaying him but ... if theres a true story - tales could be written after his glorious life. :smash:

Honestly i do not think that he is a real character. The Gallic family tree is primarily made up since there is no true way (at least that anyone has read or published), that records their genealogy. You can certainly RP with him though and make your own destiny :-)

Hey Power2the1 ! Thank for the answer - I guessed so since some days but wanted to get a statement from a teammember, too.
