View Full Version : Can anyone BUF Files?

Has anyone .BUF files. Not the standard .BIF files, but there's a bunch of .BUF files in "campmap\pieces" where I'd love to edit them. I can open them with the BIF Reader, edit them, import, export, and save, but edited ones never work in the game. I don't think it's the version of BIF Reader I have, but it could be.

Just want to know if it's doable, so I can relax and settle with having pagan priests that while sitting on the campaign map look like Inquisitioners.

Which version do you have of bifreader?
And how do you open buff files with a bifreader?

Version 2.1, or really labeled version 21, made 5-5-02. I believe it is the most up to date. Yes it doesn't open all BUF files, this is another problem. But, the glass half full, it does open many BUF files. Enough that I could try to edit the pieces.

I can open "campmap\pieces\agents\princess_acting_buf", and "princess_moving.buf" but not "princess_awaiting.buf", I could open "cardinal_awaiting.buf", and used that as a base file. I'd like to be able to change the files in this specific folder.
