Being honest, I am glad they didn't get the spine.

But ouch, the prones went through the skull into the brain, then pumped with that much voltage?

Wow, that's bad. Is an unarmed 14 year old girl really that dangerous? No not really I don't think. Cop didn't want to run after her I guess. Pathetic really.

Of course not. They protect their own.

But what of the lawyers? You'd think given the American legal system, some money (well, make that plenty) and the standard jury trial, the cop would be convicted of several years in prison...

Who has access to all the evidence and reports before it reaches trial? Botch the evidence, then it becomes a game of he-said, she-said. Which is never going to hold-up in court.

They won't even need to do that.

Most likely the cops will ask for a bench trial and they will probably be granted one, At which point the judge (knowing full well what happens to cops in prison) will either let him off or slap ever so lightly.

The man will be back on the beat within 6 months.

Hell this cop didn't even kill someone if anything happens to him I'll be shocked.

Hmph, I was hoping for a media trial with a national outrage over a brutally mutilated young girl and a naturally sympathetic jury - after all, what can, in the mind of agrown person, justify firing at a 12yr-old in the head, with a taser...

But yes, you do have a good point.

Also, cops have a history of getting away with brutalities, but minorities and adults are not that great at attracting sympathy, unfortunately - for them and the unequal society which perpetuates this.

Bet he would have raped her if he could, also about power. Sick :daisy: who does that to a 14 year old girl when you can just grab and hold her. Bet his wife got some quality time that night though, 14 isn't legal but you have to take it somewhere.
