It was a mostly quiet night, after 3 days of practice he was getting quite good at that, now as the man known as 'william' crept quietly down the hall he passed by jacob's room. Ah yes, the scene of that, unfortunate, incident the first night here, well he wont be surprising me this time! He sneaked up to the door and making sure not to make any noise he slowly opened it and made to catch the falling chamber pot that had been perched precariously on the top of the door. Thats not going to work this time. The man smiled, carrying the offending pot, he creeped to the occupied bed and raised the container. "Lets see how you like it" he said and before jacob had time to open his eyes the pot came crashing down with a thump on his head. Mind reeling jacob tried to get up but was forced back down by a hand around his throat while the pot was lifted for another blow.

So either there's only one mafia (my PM suggests there might only be one (by naming the suspect), though it seems a bit unbalanced against both a protector and a detective), or Joooray or Winston is a godfather (not extremely likely, especially for Joooray, who has known about me since day two and who made no suggestions regarding my next two investigations after him). Or, I'm completely naive, which would be annoying.

In any case: two mafia and it's game over and I lost to a godfather. One left, and it's either Subotan or a lone-godfather Winston or Joooray. Have fun with it tomorrow, guys. I'm investigating Subotan, naturally, and as such there's no chance I'll be alive in the morning.

I'll be astonished if the actual mafia lets me survive the night to combat that idea.

If it's Joooray and Subotan (Joooray did suggest both the investigation of choxorn and the lynch of Centurion; however, he did not micromanage my choices of Captain Blackadder or you), then that was really bold play, and the only regret I'd have in losing to it would be that I was too lazy to do something other than what Joooray suggested, one of those two times.

If Winston/Subotan or choxorn/Subotan -- meh, losing to a godfather stinks, but it happens. At least neither of you two suggested the Centurion lynch.

If it's a lone godfather or my character is intended to be completely naive (neither of those is suggested by my role PM), I'll be pretty unhappy.

The first couple of nights I wasn't allowed to take any action (the whole "we don't know anything's wrong yet" issue). Note also it's not actually night five tonight. I'm not sure what night it really is and don't feel like wading through the whole thread to find out. But I looked up Greyblades' first result PM for me for the date, and taking Double A as having been killed Night Two (revealed on 3/10), guess my first scan was Night Three.

Although you caught the psycho subotan was successful in killing off the townie that he was intending to kill the most. Anyway, congratulations town you have earned a:

My thoughts:

The game was not well balanced. However, that is not the important thing. What matters is the perception of balance, and I thought I had a pretty good chance up until Renata's reveal. So the potential unbalanced-ness was kind of nulified.

I attacked Split on the first night; did he block me?

I think the players ended up losing interest in the first half of the game, due to delays and three day long phases. Although your scheduling improved towards the end of the game, it was really hard to regenerate intrest in the game.

Although the delays did make it difficult to keep up interest levels, I still enjoyed this game a lot, not least because I actually survived beyond the first few days, which is quite rare.

And I don't know what anyone else made of Lady Weston-Hogues and her clueless kitty, but I had a fun time with the RPing.

The delays made it really hard on me and without the role I had it would have been hard to keep any interest at all. I kept thinking that any given day the game might wind up killed, so it was hard to put any effort in.

A larger mafia team wouldn't have helped in regards to the detective results (assuming I'd still been left alive), but could easily have directed lynches differently if they'd wanted to, given the passivity of most of the players, myself included.

I loved the roleplaying.

After three months of listening at doors and tailing addicts you managed to steal around 3 pounds of opium and a letter specifying a drop off point signed by James Humphrey the son and Heir of the Baron of Kendal. After gaining the evidence you anonymously left it in the dean's bedroom along with a list of the group's regular meeting places and within a day the group was arrested and the Baron's son only just escaped expultion due to his father's influence. As far as you know he did not discover your involvement but you still have a nagging doubt in the back of your mind to whether or not you will see him again.

Your experiences in University gave you a knack for going undetected. Each night you can pick a person to spy on each night and you will gain a report on the person's movements at night.

Synopsis: You are James Humphrey son and heir to the Baron of Kendal or at least you were until 4 years ago. You were caught running an opium den on University grounds by the dean and it took your family's influence to keep you from being arrested. Unfortunatly the embarressment caused Oxford to expell you, your father to disown you and your claim to the family fortune to be recinded. Due to your family's long tradition of vicious sibling rivalry your brothers adding insult to injury framed you for mass murder and you were forced to flee to France. With your name sullied and forced into exile by your own blood you went into a serious depression and attempted to kill yourself by setting your home on fire from the inside. This failed as the french police managed to retrieve and extinguish you before death leaving you seriously burned and disfigured.

As a final insult the incident came to the attention to one of your brothers who, to kick you while you're down, sent you evidence that the bust was because an anonymous student had tipped the dean off. The entire series of events that led to your name being besmirched, your future destroyed and your body being scarred beyond recognition had been because of a damned eavesdropper! At this point you cracked, three years of hiding in France, three years of living in shame in an absolute hell made you psycotic and all you thought about was how to make them pay. Now here you are, on the ferry to the party posing as an army Captain, scarred beyond recognition in battle "Defending his Royal Magesty's Great empire from savages", now on leave and ready to reunite with friends and remeniss about the old days before being shipped back to india or wherever the heck the poor sod was assigned before you got to him. You dont recognise anyone and you dont particually care if you kill any innocents, your enemies are here and you dont care about anything other than making sure that they pay.
