Okay, forgive me if this sounds like a dumb question but when you dismount a mounted unit, it retains its original mounted strength right? It doesn't have any horse holders (smaller strength) or just morph into a full size dismounted version (i.e. knights and foot knights, mtd sgts and sgts).

Thanks,

This should not be the case.
I will check right now.
I will be very annoyed if it is.
As that would mean mucho wasted time

No they dismount to what it says
so if it says FeudalFootKnights
then thats what you get.Man for man.
The difference in stats will reflect the
lack of horse and lance.Unless you
use my royal foot Knights http://www.totalwar.org/forum/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
They are better than the mounted version.
This is not intenional just not finished them yet.

But it will not increase or decrease strength right? If you got 17 mounted knights you will get 17 dismounted knights right?

That's what man for man means.
This game accounts for every man you have.
Each indavidual has his own stats based on his history.
So when they dismount they should be the same people
minus a horse type thing.
I hate to use the word realistic but I think
it describes it fairly well.
