Can anyone please let me know what buildings I need to build in order to obtain a serpentine.I have been building every sort of cannon foundry ,armourer etc but still no sign of a serpentine.

Not all factions can recruit them. Don't know exactly which ones can but you could check that out yourself when watching faction units in a custom battle.

Hungary, Denmark, France, and the HRE are the factions that have the serpentine, if I remember correctly.
