Can anybody give me some advice on how to modify the ammo of infantry and cavalry archers without unbalacing the game in SP? I have a feeling that while crossbows and arbalesters are quite useful, archers just dont seem efficient enough

I gave every Archer/X-Bowmen Unit 3 full quivers of arrows/bolts ... meaning 72 of them.

How did you do this?Sorry! What I meant to ask was what file and which part of it would I altar to get this,as I believe what you've done is more historically accurate(at least for Longbows) and might give back some power to missile units other than arbelasts?

prod11.txt the bit where it says
AMMO(28):this the number of arrows
or whatever the weapon is.

btw if you want to have more affective
lonbows get more bowmen. They were effective in mass not because they carried more
bows but because the english used
lots and lots and lots more of them
and the french on a few occasions
over a very long period ,approched them from the wrong side.If you ask me it's an
overrated weapon and an overrated tactic.
I don't know of any great offensive
battles won with this tactic.
Thats why they lost in the end

archers for defense, cannons for offense
