hello i would be pleased if anyone can take a look on my latest save (autosave) http://uploaded.to/file/j34gsm
..if needed i can upload also the quicksave shortly after that.

i play the baktrian kingdom with EB 1.2 (the fixes are installed) difficulty: very hard for battles and hard on strategy.
its now 212BC and i already tried the same battle (taking Seleukia) two times - and in midst of battle i had CTD´s ...after the first one which i had after a quicksave shortly after the autosave i tried again and this time from the autosave (because i already read somewhere here its not so good to battle immediately after a quicksave - though i made it often before and no problems at all) and also changed the audio from "miles2anything.." to 3Dhardware (a lower performance - also a hint which i read here somewhere) - but just had the CTD again after long hard and almost won battle.

in my satrapies i have no impending rebellions - dont know if somewhere in the world ;-)

hope i added enough information and would be pleased over help

thanks,
Kleitos

Hi Kleitos ~!

Can you try this first on your game?

Before starting the battle, open the console (it is the key left from the '1', should look like this '°^' .
Type auto_win attacker
Now do not play the battle manually, let this time the game auto-resolve it.

Does it help?

hi XSamatan,

you helped me out again :-) - thanks for the tip!

yes it helped (though i rather play these battles of course manually) ..now i can take advantage from my risky advance and divide the seleukid force..

question: do i have to withdraw this order "auto_win attacker" somehow or was it just effective before that one battle?

also: do you know where all those orders are listed somewhere in case to intervene in the game itself?

..what im interested also - why actually do impending rebellions in provinces not known to myself (´cause far away and still "in the dark") provoke CTD´s? ..and if so how can i solve these problems by myself without bothering you again for example ;-) ?

thanks,
Kleitos

Hello Kleitos,

here is a link to a German cheat site : http://www.spieletipps.de/cp_14968_0/, there you can find all the possible cheats.

Concerning rebellions:
The RTW-engine has a difficult task to do if a settlement makes a rebellion, it has to find a new owner for the region. Also troops need to be spawned and maybe diplomatic statuses are affected. In all this way there can be a small failure which makes the game go crash.
In the Frequent Encountered Issues-thread (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?t=103681) is a section on how to deal with CTD's due to rebellion. Read and stick to that.
If the steps mentioned do not help fell free to ask here!

Have fun with EB,
XSamatan
