I do!
My favorite would probably be Shrimp and then soft shell crab followed by alligator.
I <3 New Orleans
Prawns, crab, shrimp, tuna, salmon, cod, mackeral (smoked is lovely) ,haddock & scampi are all nice, but are the only seafoods I've tried (other than sushi, raw versions of what were already mentioned)

You got to eat Gator? Lucky bastard.
Soft shell crab is definitely my favorite. I also have a taste for sushi, but it's much too expensive. Best sushi I've ever had, by the way, comes from a sushi restaurant in my hometown; it's called the Yum Yum roll, and it's a wrap of tuna, salmon, yellowtail and possibly something else, with cream cheese -- and then it's deep-fried and served with some kind of sweet sauce and seaweed. Never had anything like it; I've seen other deep-fried sushi, but it's always battered, which tastes terrible; half of what makes the Yum Yum roll so good is the crispy rice with the sweet sauce dripped over it.
I also really wish I could get my seafood fresh-caught; I hear that the reason all fish pretty much tastes the same is that the different flavors disappear quickly, as in within a day. That's another reason I like sushi -- when the fish is raw, you can still taste some difference in what you're eating (it's not much, but it's there, especially in the texture.)

I enjoy fish. Shellfish are too difficult, and should be left for the otters. What vermin.
I heard alligator tasted like chicken, then again, EVERYTHING exotic tastes like chicken, or so the people eating it often say.
Lobster is delicious, but not so easy to catch. Crabs taste pretty good, and are not so hard to catch.

Heaven is mussles and fries (http://fr.academic.ru/dic.nsf/frwiki/1193140) in Belgium. http://matousmileys.free.fr/mampf6.gif
We get alaskan salmon in London, but I presume they freeze it first! It is still tasty though.
I have had properly fresh west coast salmon in Vancouver though, and that was fine!

Shrimp Shrimp Shrimp Shrimp, or, as they call it in Philadelphia: SHERMP
Crab is okay, but too much damned work. Same with crawfish and lobster
Bass. Crappy. Cod. Trout. Catfish, even though they eat poop. Favorite fish hands down is Red Snapper, broiled or lightly fried.
Also like Tuna. Both kids. South of the border, where the tuna fished play
In terms of fish, I'll pretty much eat all the standard faire; cod, haddock, salmon, tuna. I generally incorporate alot of fish into my diet as an alternative to chicken (would get boring otherwise) and in favour of red meats.
I'm also really fond of sushi, though it's rare that I'm able to get back to Manchester to eat it in my favourite Japanese restaurant (Umami <3), so I usually end up buying it from Asda or Tesco. It's nowhere near as good and much less choice in terms of what you get (a few futomaki, maybe a nigiri and naturally some California Rolls) but it satisfies my love for the stuff. :3
I have eaten crab, which has an exquisite taste and is really satisfying to the palate, but haven't tried lobster yet, although I would like to at some point. I used to loathe prawns when I was younger, but now like them and utilise them more and more for stir fries, curries and such... a nice alternative to chicken!
I used to be really partial to calamari; Manchester Metropolitan University's Student Union used to serve the stuff for a pretty decent price (especially after 4pm :D), and it went down surprisingly well with a nice glass of Kopparberg. However, apparantly some students ended up with food poisoning from eating the stuff, the SU took the stuff off the menu and I haven't had any since! :<
My favourites are the seafoods that can be caught locally around my hometown. Bream, catfish and if we were lucky sometimes we'd get a whiting, if we were really lucky, very rarely we'd even get a jewfish. Mud crab is bloody delicious and is probably my favourite seafood, although you have to be careful if you don't want to lose a finger.

I've never had lobster, but I agree with you on the crab\crawfish. Too much work for that amount of meat. While it is tasty, it is not worth it imo.
What type of crabs are you eating? There are some pretty big ones around. A big mud crab for example can have a good 3kg of flesh on it, well worth the trouble.

Yep, bream, whiting, flathead (ugly looking thing), prawns, squid, some octupus (depends how it's cooked), croc if I can get it, the usual. Don't eat nearly as much of the stuff as I should.

Mostly I was talking about crawfish. The crabs I'm talking about have no where near that amount of meat in them.
Oh god yes. Rainbow trout is my favorite, and I love calamari, crab, and swordfish too. Not much of a lobster fan. Shrimp is good, never had prawns, mussels are okay...I could go on but really, I could live off seafood. Too bad I'm in a landlocked state. :(
I had alligator, myself, when i was in Florida, but I was too young to remember what it tasted like.

Fish sticks are an abomination of food. Any kind of seafood product that tastes worse than a McDonald's fish fillet should be banned (as should the fish fillet itself. And probably McDonald's as a whole.)

I was raised in a town where the biggest industry used to be lobstering, so I'm sort of required to like seafood.
I'd say shrimp are my favorite, along with mussels and crab. Fish I have to be in the mood for, but when I am I love it.
The ironic thing is I don't like lobster, which is basically seen as blasphemy in my family, considering my great grandpa was a full time lobsterman.

I don't mind deep fried prawns or shrimp, but I could never eat something if I can see its eyes.
Other than that, I generally avoid seafood. I've been told I should try lobster, bu the idea of eating giant bugs turns off my appetite like a switch.
Though, the only time I had sushi, it was avacado, crab and something else, and it was pretty good, theough they went pretty heavy on the gold sauce.

Mmm, bugs (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Balmain_bug) are tasty too.
Bugs are tasty, why eat shrimp but not bugs. I would really like to try soft-shell crab, where I get my groceries they have everything even alligator, but they never heard of it, and it sounds great.
Love shrimp. Will eat it by the bushel. Crab is good too, but getting meat out of the local ones is too much like work. With fish, it depends, some is really good, some not so much.
With seafood, freshness and how it's cooked really count.

Shrimp, definitely. Not too hard to get, even in Iowa. Not a huge fan of most fish, but a good salmon is among my favorite foods as well. Crab is after those two, very good, but too expensive around here, and most of the time, you don't get good enough quality crab that you get a good meat/work ratio.
Also, I agree with Joe- fish sticks are the work of someone sinister. Awful stuff.

Yes I do. Mom was Japanese so we got a lot of it growing up. I didn't get much into the more "exotic" forms of sushi until I was an adult, and I confess, some (like Uni .... ugh!) I just can't stomach. But generally speaking, I like most kinds of seafood.

Sounds like a California roll; they contain cucumber, avacado and crab/faux crab, wrapped in nori with the rice on the outside. They're partly why sushi has become so popular in the West. :>

Same lol, problem with them is that most of sushi doesn't actually have fish in it, with sort of defeats the object. Also I think Asda's is better as it is actually raw, tesco's is fake. Asda's also comes with wasabi * more choice.

Well, it doesn't have to have fish in, does it? It can just be an array of vegetables like cucumber or takuan, they're just as nice on the palate! :D
Asda's is definitely better though, totally agree there. My friends usually throw the wasabi pouches away (blasphemy!), but I love pouring the soy sauce over it, mixing it together and dipping my futomaki and Cali rolls in there instead. I don't bother dipping the nigiri though, they generally fall apart when they're dipped. :P
Trick is to put so much wasabi on it that you won't taste anything in the first place, and the sport to keep a straight face while the stuff is burning out your eyes.

Lobster is like a really big prawn. There's a large chunk of meat in the body, some tender but not particularly special meat in the claws, and the rest of it can be forgotten. Crab has a much finer taste.

Mackerel is probably my favourite fish. Goes off exceptionally quickly for such a big fish, but if cooked the same day that you bought it, its oily flesh is heavenly. Forget salmon, cod, and other fish with more reputation than flavour, mackerel is my fave.

Lemme introduce you three extremely delicious sushi toppings. The first one is what is known as "Uni" (not university. Pronounced like Wuni except with no W). Its unique taste is often referred to as a Gaijin Killer (nick named by me :curtain:) I had my friend from Australia eat it, and he definitely didn't enjoy it.
Second one is one of the topping I hate. "Shako". Last time I had it, I was 7 or 8. Vomited out. Never had one since then. But I guess I could eat it now, just too scared to try it out.
Third one. Katsuo, skip jack tuna. My mother often claims that she is completely Japanese with her liking of Japanese food. But this is the one topping she does not enjoy.. With the strong taste of iron/blood, my cousin over from Canada couldn't eat it.
If you conquer this three toppings Thermal. You will graduate the padawan status and you will be named as a Sushi Master

Hey, us Americans can't help but have more sense than to eat any damn thing they find lying around in the ocean, especially if that thing is covered in spikes.
Hey, if it has spikes or it's poisonous or it tries to cut off your finger or even eat tries to eat you, that's no reason to give up, it's just an extra challenge.

That's pity it isn't for all of us, when I eat in a restaurant I always go for the seafood, much more creative dishes. Some species have a very strong 'fishie' like eels for example But a good tuna-steak should go down well, most people I know who don't like fish do like tuna-steak. You could also try sea-devil or swordfish, very subtle taste but awesome structure.

Shrimp is King of the Sea as far as I'm concerned. Hot or cold steamed is the best. Put a mountain in front of me with a bucket of cocktail sauce (ketchup & horseradish variety) and I'm set for the day. I had lobster and didn't see what all the fuss was about. Crab is way too much hassle. I can eat at least some fish but can't enjoy it because of the bones - I remember being warned when I was growning up to chew fish well so you don't choke on them. That and I am the one who always ends up with the cut laden with bones.

With larger fish, the bones are clearly defined, and properly cooking the fish will make the flesh easily detachable from the bones. With smaller fish, just chew the whole damn thing to pieces. Larger fish don't tend to have much flavour, with the exception of mackerel. In return for large cuts of meat, the meat is characterless. Smaller fish has lots of flavour, but it's impossible to separate the bones from the flesh.
Shrimp is best if they're laden with eggs. Just eat them ready cooked from the local market, or steamed hot. Egg-laden shrimp is relatively fiddly if you're intent on getting all or most of the eggs, but the crunchiness is worth the effort. Eggs or not, the meat is easily accessible, and full of flavour. Much superior to lobster. I don't agree with the horse radish though, or anything except the bare cooked shrimp. When the meat is this flavourful, don't obscure.
