I installed it last night an, i st5arted a seleucid campaign, and to say the least im impressed with the AI movement impiticular. Iv never had rebel factions attack me so frequently, the rebels are actually more hostile than my current enemies which iv never heard of be4. and they arnet just hostile to me, they are attacking everyone which is great. Im a bit gutted so far that i spent over a year using alexander when in 5 turns im this happy with this mod. Oh well we'l c how it goes. Ill keep yas updated, n ill b postin all my current empires soon :P

I'm thinking too about ALX or BI, but is it really better? Cos you can't base it on one experience.
I thought BI and ALX had the same AI btw.

I have a suggestion for you. Every time you post i have great difficulty reading your posts, since you try to shorten sentences, write numbers instead of letters, don't use ponctuation that often, u often forget words... I understand that you may not be a native english speaker, but the problem isn't the vocabulary, it's how your writing.
Don't take this by any means the wrong way, but i don't understand a large procentage of your posts, and i don't even bother to read them, even though i could be active in such topics

But is it worth it? I mean they already act stupid.
I hope you mean Pantodapoi with panda.... (I'm not quite familiar with the EB lingo, for instance I am clueless if somebody would say: "Hey check out my AAR".)
I for instance love animals, wouldn't want to kill them (except if it were kittehs)
eerrr... an AAR, it's a story the players made by players... they play their campaing and tells it as an epic stories... as for animals, all i have to say is... pay attention to the bear... he tends to molest....

So you don't know it either?
Compare it with this: LOL = Laughing Out Loud
AAR = ????
Well ,I do know what is an AAR, i don't know the proper words of the abreviations... but i know what it is, in content... catch it?

Panda = Pantodapoi
Spam = Countless training (and throwing to the player) of one type of unit, the most notorious being panda spam (Pantodapoi), or Argyraspidai Spam (the latter especially from rich badass Gray death (arche Seleukeia), which was the exact opposite of panda spam)
AAR = After Action Reports, story made by players told about her campaign
Hope this helps :bow:
It means After Action Report.
edit : oops, cute wolf was faster.
I quite enjoy EB with BI, AI seems to act a bit better.
TBH, much of the BI exe potential is wasted on most mods, EB included.

True, but compared to RTW and alex which iv played for the last 2 years, to notice a huge difference within 5 turns of the game is saying something i just had to give it a mention.
And also Its easier to install than Alex which as far as i know everyone struggles to install. BI is the way forward. Oh and p.s to whoe ever it was moaning about my grammer or whateva. A big shout to u for been so BOOOOORRRRRRIIIIINNNGGGGGGGG, i didnt finish readin what ya said but, yeh ill try an use more full stops just for u, big geek

After Action Report. It isn't EB colliloque, either; the term is used for all total war games and mods.
and carthaginians are "carthies", a seleukid steamroller is called "grey death", the ptolemaic version is the "yellow fever", cataphracts are often called catanks. the list goes on in regards to EB/TW slang.
maks=macedonians
CTD=crash to desktop
etc
I hope that will enlighten ye on the local slang and jargon.

Quick question. At the start of a campaign when you capture a settlement, normally rebel settlements , you get the option to civilize that settlement a certain way. Their are 4 classes class 1 is fully 2 is semi 3 is a little and 4 is just controlled. well along those lines their is obviously proper terms for what i am explaining whcih i shud know but iv not played in a while :P
My question is how come in all my campaigns, i can choose to upgrade settlements i capture at the start, but when i expand, expecially to enemy territory i no longer get the option to upgrade my settlements to how i would like them? Is this normal?
Civilize? These buildings represent the kind of government you install, particularly how you integrate the province into your empire. Have you read the descriptions?
For most factions, type I represent the core provinces. This is were most of the political power lies. Because of this, they are home to the political, economical and military elite. Obviously, only the provinces most closely aligned to your faction (i.e. those who share the same culture and ethnicity) can be turned into a type I province. Type II provinces are also aligned with your faction, but less important, usually because they are not as powerful or the inhabitants have other loyalties. Type III and IV government represent leaving the local political elite in charge, but with varying degrees of imperial interference.

Yes i know all this what im saying is, i only ever get to choose what kind of goverment i want at the start with rebel provinces, when i start to expand to take provinces that have been owned previously by other factions the option to choose a goverment type is no longer avaliable and i wana know why?
because they installed their own governament. you must destroy it and then build a ''regional pacification'' wich take one turn, and after that you can build your own governament. but first, go in the city panel, and destroy their gouvernament building

If you see someone repeatedly spamming and/or trolling, he/she is high on Meth. It's an old term leftover from the days I drove the moderators in this subforum insane.
because they installed their own governament. you must destroy it and then build a ''regional pacification'' wich take one turn, and after that you can build your own governament. but first, go in the city panel, and destroy their gouvernament building
Don't forget that not destroying those government buildings can lead to some problems. If a region was under bitter dispute between several AI factions, and numerous government buildings are present (all damaged, of course) when you capture the city, repairing one or all of them sometimes leads to CTD's.
So, destroy the AI government(s), build the regional pacification, then build your own government.

Re EB with BI
I have been playing EB with BI since EB 1.2 and I believe it is more challenging. The AI is much more Agro. The down side is some mods dont like the BI exec.

I got R:TW off Steam, and I have BI and ALEX installed, but when I try to run them in EB mode, they just crash. I can only run EB under Rome and I have to take out the line that activates the EB mod if I want to play BI or ALEX at all.

RTW isn't available on Steam, only RTW Gold (RTW + BI). How have you BI and ALEX installed separately and RTW alone from Steam?

I don't, they are all installed through Steam.

I can play EB with BI through steam. I suspect you may have made a mistake in the transition from RTW to BI.

I'm fairly certain that you can't just try to run EB with BI without some modding first.
Download and install this mod first.
