I guess that also in EB II some AI cities will join your faction, if they rebel. Is there any possibility to give you a choice whether to accept them or not? Especially being the KH is very annoying if your complicated diplomatic networt crashes all the time, because some crappy city at the edge of the world feels that it would rather join you than the AI, who leads its people to a stupid death anyway.

IIRC, you are given a choice

Not in EB I

I think that was a feature in Medieval TW, that was removed for some silly reason in M2TW, such as when the rebellion comes, you can support teh rebels

This is not Civilization IV, I'm afraid. The game is nowhere as intelligent.

You do not have a choice when it comes to rebelling cities. A shame, but you can roleplay your way around it!

In EB1 you could whack up the taxes, demolish a temple and withdraw the garrison and they'd soon change their minds...

Indeed. Just to rebel to you again, as soon as the AI has occupied them again. And why would they rebel, when the AI occupied them? Well.... because there's no temple.... ;-)

Erecting Buddhist stupas everywhere are really good investments as Baktria, as you could still reside them beside other gods.... another temples is quite intolerant, you often must destroy the previous temples...
