Our clan (Lucifers Angels of Death - AKA 666)
has been infiltrated by "youknowwho1" and "youknowwho2"
"youknowwho1" is using the name 666LucifersAngel and is losing games on purpose to bring our honour down. He is also declaring war on everyone in the name of 666!!!
Please do not fight him as this will affect our clans honour! We want nothing to do with either of them, they stole the passwords for our clan and our website and broadcast them in the chat room. This is very dishonourable and downright nasty!!! Please boycott these people.

Oh silly me for posting something that actually matters, anyone who plays shogun regularly will have seen all the goings on, and we have had total support from many other clans and people who have read my previous post. You know I speak the truth, we are not the only ones who have had trouble with said persons.
People should play fairly and they should not insult other people in the game. The people I speak of constantly throw verbal abuse around in the chat room, and yet you chastise me for bringing it to light?
I understand the need to keep things friendly, and the last thing I want to do is sling mud, but what other options do I have?
Where else but a forum can people be informed of these events? I only came here because it was suggested to me by the leader of a highly respected clan who have had similar problems.
However I do not wish to disrespect you, if after reading this you insist on me editing the names then I shall, perhaps starting by changing the T to a W ? http://www.totalwar.org/ubb/smile.gif

Right Shiro in this case I think we can use a certain amount of discretion about matters. THe individuals concerned have clearly been a problem for sometime, and it is obvious what has been going on. Hence Hellspawn i'm editing your post to remove the names un connected to your clan. I'll leave the infiltrated names up so people know not to play anyone masquerading as your clan. However with the other names it is dojo policy to remove them as Shiro says. This is a special case i admit, but we have to show consistency in General Discussion on such matters.

He used the name CruelIntentions Yokota.
He spoke gently and been honourable and passed into NoFear smoothly.

Then he began escaping from our comp games and other stuff. Soon he said to use he was "tank's cousin." Of course we soon uncovered him compeletely and when we changed names because of our merge with clan fury we didn't accept him in the new clan, of course.

I want some rules in it though. You can post clan names that are being abused, but not the individuals names.

Ok, first these are the members who have infiltrated our clan, some gave the passwords out, some joined once they saw the passwords up in the chat room...

Ok, some of you have asked how we came to be infiltrated like this...
To be honest it was just bad security, and a lack of knowledge as to who is who in the Totalwar world. Some other clans seem to have sent over spies and assassins (as they call themselves) under false names to try and gain our trust and join our clan. We fell for it! Simple as that.
As soon as they were in and had our passwords they then began putting the codes up in the chatroom, which then allowed anyone to join the clan until the password was changed...no hacking involved i'm afraid, just our lack of some thorough security measures.

Yeah that's what I did! I posted the 666 names that are not really in the clan but they got edited!!! I did not use the real usernames of the infiltrators!
Why is it that in one earlier post I have been allowed to name a 666 infiltrator and yet in a later post the same name has been edited? I only used the false names they are using in our clan. Seems to be a lack of consistency/communication somewhere!

No, not this argument again. The rule is simple: no names! And as far as I'm concerned it's not open for debate. The moderators have a good method of communication with eachother, and there this may or not be discussed. I already shared my views on this matter there, as have the other moderators, and the outcome was simple: we stick to it.

If I or the other moderators let one name in we just missed it.

Catiline, until all the moderators agree that we change this policy, I suggest we stick to it.

I have to admit that I agree that this is a borderline case. The culprit(s) is (are) known and there's no doubt in my mind that the names given are definitely rotten eggs.

But even the naming of them here doesn't solve anything. The only solution to these problems lies with CA/EA. I know they are looking into this to see what can be done. Let's just hope they come up with something substantial this time.

On the TotalWar.com forum The Shogun has mentioned they are looking into banning registration codes for certain cases. Let's see how that turns out.
